About Linda Yael Schiller
Linda Yael Schiller, MSW, LICSW is a body, mind and spiritual psychotherapist, consultant, and international speaker. She has taught dreamwork, offered dream sessions, and run dream groups for over 30 years. Her book, Modern Dreamwork: New Tools for Decoding Your Soul’s Wisdom, (2019) Llewellyn Worldwide Publishing, offers several innovative dreamwork approaches from these psycho-spiritual and embodied principles.
In addition to traditional training in psycho-dynamic and cognitive therapies, Linda is trained in a number of alternative treatment modalities including EMDR, EFT, Energy Psychology, Somatic Experiencing, Focusing, and HBLU (Healing From the Body Level Up). With them, she teaches and consults on trauma treatment, PTSD, and nightmares, and is also versed in Enneagram, Kabbalah, and Shamanic studies. Her dreamwork “THE GAIA* Method: Guided Active imagination Approach” is a powerful and safe dream dreamwork tool for use with nightmares based on Jungian active imagination and best practice trauma treatment.
Now professor emeritus, Linda developed original theory on relational group work while a professor at Boston University School of Social Work, and has authored numerous book chapters, articles and audio programs on group work, trauma treatment, and dream work, and her poetry has appeared in several on-line journals and in the book “Send Your Roots Rain.”
She is a dancer, a student of Kabbalah, and loves historical novels and science fantasy. Born in Buffalo, New York, she lived in Israel for 5 years and then moved to Boston, MA where she currently resides with her husband, daughter, and 2 cats. She loves to spend time outdoors hiking, gardening, and swimming.
