About Karla Sapp

Dr. Karla L. Sapp, LPC, NCC  view therapy and consultation as a collaborative process which allows her to assist her clients in developing and maintaining healthier and more creative lives.  Dr. Sapp is currently Licensed by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapist as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC#006883) and Nationally Certified as a Counselor by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC #251970).  A graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University (BS Criminal Justice), South University-Savannah (Master of Arts in Professional Counseling) and Argosy University (Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology), Dr. Sapp has been practicing for 5 years, specializing in mental health and addictions counseling, along with criminal offenders.  She has experience working in the following settings, In-Patient Acute Hospitalization, Outpatient, and Correctional. 

Recently, Dr. Sapp has taken an interest in Lifestyle Choices and Wellness, having completed her doctoral research focused on the Lifestyle Choices and Wellness among Federal Correctional Staff.  Dr. Sapp, a scholarly practitioner, also has an research interest in men therapy and sports counseling.   

Dr. Karla L. Sapp, LPC, NCC has presented at the following conferences: Argosy University Fall Virtual Psychology Research Conference and the South Carolina Counseling Association Annual Conference, as well as a motivational speaking for various community organizations.
