About Jennifer McBlaine, PhD
I am a sex educator, coach, and therapist. I earned a doctorate degree from the American Academy of Clinical Sexology. I am a sexologist who strongly believes in communicating freely and accurately on the topic of sex. One of the myths of contemporary society is people think they can deal with sexual interaction without talking about it…that it just happens. Because people are more uncomfortable than they readily admit they often need a third party to get them to talk about what is really going on.
Sex education: often people engage in sexual activity as if they know an awful lot about it and in reality, most people know relativity little about it. Often people have to be taught about each other’s sexual differences and on how to be responsive to another’s need such as the differences between a psychological and physiological need. Sex education is considered descriptive, not prescriptive.
