About Stephen Snyder MD
I’m a New York City sex therapist, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai, and a New York Magazine “Best Doctor” since 2012. I'm a regular contributor to PsychologyToday and The Huffington Post, and a frequent guest on national media outlets. My first book LOVE WORTH MAKING: How to Have Ridiculously Great Sex in a Long-Lasting Relationship published in 2018 from St Martin's Press, and has been featured on TODAY.com, AARP, Readers Digest, Salon, The New York Times, and NBCToday with Megyn Kelly.
I’ve been an active member of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR) since 1995, a featured lecturer and discussant at the Society’s national meetings, and have served on both its Professional Book Award and its Consumer Book Award committees -- most recently as Chairman of the latter. My principal interest is in communicating usable sex and relationship advice to people who might need it, but who'd be unlikely to ever visit a sex therapist. I live with my wife and children in Manhattan – which actually isn’t so bad, if you don’t mind a lot of noise.
