About Dr. Liz
I am a board-certified pediatrician, parent coach, speaker, author, and workshop facilitator. After spending over 20 years in practice and raising a daughter who is now in her twenties, I know that parenting in today’s world is hard.
How do you support your kids in the midst of all these challenges? Who can you get to listen and support you as you guide your preteens, teens and young adults through the ups and downs of life? In my pediatric practice, parents often came to me for guidance and direction on these very issues. Parents wanted and needed more time than was allotted in the typical office visit, so I created Dr. Liz Consulting to address their needs and concerns.
Through my one on one virtual coaching sessions, I provide parents with solutions to connecting, communicating, and supporting their preteens, teens, and young adults. My interactive, thought provoking seminars are designed to empower parents and uplift youth. My goal is to support parents in having happier, healthier, and more connected relationships with their preteens, teens, and young adults.
I graduated from Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania’s, Perelman School of Medicine. I completed my pediatric residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and subsequently worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before going into private practice in New Jersey.
I have created and delivered workshops for numerous organizations including Princeton University, Raritan Valley Community College, Middlesex Regional Chamber of Commerce, NY/NJ Teen Expo, the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
I have appeared as a guest on numerous television and radio shows, including Chasing News with Bill Spadea, 12 for Your Health (News 12 New Jersey), The Dr. Steve Show (WPIX 11 TV), Life Advice with Jennifer Lewis-Hall (Greater Media Magic 98.3 FM), and New Jersey Today (WCTC).
I have been honored for my work with youth and service to the community by several associations and publications including the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and NJBIZ who named me to be a Healthcare Hero and one of the Top 50 Women in Business.
I am a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association, New Jersey Medical Society, and Middlesex County Medical Society. I am a lifetime Girl Scout, member of Alpha Kappa Sorority, Inc., The Greater Princeton Chapter of the Drifters, Inc., and a past board member of the Raritan Valley Community College Foundation.
