About Christopher Shea
Chris has spent his life and career helping clients learn how to live healthy, mindful, addiction-free lives. His unique perspective on how to happy and how to find peace in your world makes Chris an exceptional life coach and mentor for clients worldwide. Chris shares he wisdom on his weekly podcast, On Finding Peace and tidbits of inspiration regularly on Instagram.
Professionally, Chris is a nationally recognized speaker and published in medical and clinical journals. He is a nationally and state certified addiction counselor in Maryland, as well as a nationally certified life coach who graduated from the Washington Theological Union and St. Hyacinth College-Seminary.
Chris is also the campus minister of a Catholic high school in Maryland and an adjunct professor in the Family Studies and Community Development department of the school of Liberal Arts at Towson University.
During his 20+ year tenure in the addiction counseling field as a clinician and administrator, he oversaw the implementation of treatment program modalities, integrating evidence-based treatments to promote life-long recovery. Chris’ clinical experience is preceded by an almost decade-long pastoral ministry as a hospital chaplain in DC and a retreat leader in the New England region.
Chris serves as the chairperson for the St. Mary’s County Alcohol Coalition, a member of the Behavioral Health Action Committee of the St. Mary’s County Health Department, and sits on the advisory board for the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. He is the immediate past President of the Maryland affiliate of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) board of directors, served on the NAADAC Public Policy Committee and is the immediate past chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Maryland (NCADD-MD).
