Many people had loved Jimmy Fallon throughout his career of being a comedian and late-night television host.

From the moment Fallon landed the job that would change his career forever, joining 'Saturday Night Live' as a cast member in 1998, his rise to fame has continued to climb.

In 2009, Fallon became the host of 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,' and in 2014 became the new late-night host of the 'Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.'

Despite his long-lasting career and the throngs of people that adore him, Fallon has been in a number of questionable incidents in his time in the entertainment industry.

1.Jimmy Fallon wore blackface while on 'SNL.'

According to Deadline, Fallon appeared in blackface to impersonate former 'SNL' castmate, Chris Rock, back in 2000.

The clip resurfaced in May 2020, causing the hashtag #jimmyfallonisoverparty to trend on Twitter and prompt the late-night host to offer an apology.

"I am very sorry for making this unquestionably offensive decision and thank all of you for holding me accountable," Fallon wrote on his Twitter.

2.Jimmy Fallon interviewed former President Donald Trump.

According to Newsweek, Fallon received intense backlash after interviewing former President Donald Trump back when Trump was campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination.

In an interview with The New York Times, Fallon insisted that he "didn't do it to humanize him." 

“I almost did it to minimize him. I didn’t think that would be a compliment: ‘He did the thing that we all wanted to do," Fallon continued.

Many critics accused Fallon of being too charitable towards Trump, who at that point in his candidacy had already made a variety of offensive and disparaging comments about different groups of people, including marginalized people.

3.Jimmy Fallon was involved in a bar fight.

According to People, back in 2014, Fallon had been involved in a scuffle at Niagara Bar in New York City.

The incident definitely raised eyebrows and put his squeaky-clean image into question.

Jimmy Fallon was allegedly not the aggressor but ended up getting caught in the fight. It was broken up and Fallon, along with his friends, immediately left.

4.Jimmy Fallon has been the recipient of rumors claiming he is an alcoholic.

In February 2014, Fallon's 'SNL' co-star, Horatio Sanz, claimed that Fallon had a penchant for drinking.

"[We] were super functioning alcoholics, definitely," Sanz told Vulture. "They say that kind of goes hand in hand with SNL, some kind of substance-abuse issues, because it's so stressful you easily find yourself blowing off steam a lot."

A Manhattan bartender told the New York Post that Fallon once came to the Whiskey River in 2009 and partied until 5:30 the next morning.

Fallon denied that he had a drinking problem in a 2017 interview with The New York Times, saying, "I could never do a day-to-day job if I was drinking every night," he said. "That's just kicking you when you're down."

5.Jimmy Fallon has a history of suffering unusual injuries.

Jimmy Fallon has a pretty long list of injuries that he's sustained over the years.

In 2015, the late-night host severed his finger at home, saying, "I tripped and fell in my kitchen on a braided rug that my wife loves, and I can't wait to burn it to the ground."

Months later, Fallon chipped his tooth while trying to open a jar of scar tissue gel for his hand, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Fallon also reportedly tripped while at a party, with a bottle of Jägermeister. "He just tripped," a witness told Page Six. "We all thought he did it on purpose."

Fallon later told audience memebers at the 'Tonight Show' that he "threw the bottle" and that he "landed on broken glass. There [were] pools of blood everywhere."

6.Jimmy Fallon is under intense pressure.

An insider for the 'Tonight Show' told the New York Post that Fallon is secretly struggling with the success from his show.

"There is so much money at stake, the pressure is enormous. [Besides doing the show daily], they're looking for the next viral thing to hit," the insider shared.

"He has to do calls with affiliates and sponsors. He has no outlet. He's young. He's still learning. You forget he hasn't been doing this for 10 years."

Photographer Sam Jones also told the New York Post that "there's a sort of loneliness to being a late-night host."

7.Jimmy Fallon was named in a sexual assault claim.

According to Rolling Stone, former 'SNL' cast member Horatio Sanz was accused of grooming and sexually assaulting a teenage girl in the early 2000s from a lawsuit filed by the now-adult accuser.

The lawsuit, filed by a Jane Doe in Pennsylvania says she ran a Jimmy Fallon fansite from 1999 to 2002.

In her complaint, Jimmy Fallon and a number of other 'SNL' cast members were in attendance at several parties where Sanz allegedly groomed her.

Fallon and Sanz also emailed the girl in 2000, when she was 15 and Sanz was 31.
