Mama June's Daughters Show Off Their $120K Plastic Surgery Makeovers
Anna and Jessica aren't messing around!
Though Alana Thompson (AKA Honey Boo Boo) and her sister, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, frequently appear on the WEtv show Mama June: From Not to Hot, the rest of the family has been keeping it pretty low key since the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo days, including June's other daughters, Anna Cardwell and Jessica Shannon.
So what have these women been up to lately? Apparently, going under the knife for cosmetic procedures, as they both revealed this week.
Cardwell and Shannon have received more than $120K in plastic surgery, and it's a lot to take in — they both look so different! Here's what we know about their plastic surgery so far:
1. Shannon had weight loss surgery, liposuction, and veneers.
According to what Shannon shared in an interview, she had a balloon inserted into her stomach to help her lose weight (which cost more than $80,000), as well as liposuction on her "back, flanks, and bra area." After going under the knife, Shannon spent some time in the dentists' office, getting eight veneers and laser teeth whitening.
"I've always struggled with like my weight, so I've tried to find different ways to help me out but like nothing's ever helped," she said.
2. Cardwell got a breast lift, implants, and veneers.
Cardwell — who welcomed her first daughter, Kaitlin, while starring on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo — went a bit of different route, getting a breast lift and implants that brought her from a B cup to a D cup, as well as veneers that she said made her want to smile all the time to show off her new teeth.
"I don't have confidence in myself," Cardwell shared, explaining why she wanted to have these procedures done. 'Hopefully this will, you know, get it up there.'
3. Shannon is hoping the surgery helps with her dream of becoming a plus-sized model.
For Shannon, one of the motivating factors behind her cosmetic surgery was making her modeling dreams come true, especially after she hit 230 pounds and wasn't able to find a way to lose weight without some extra help.
"I've always struggled with like my weight, so I've tried to find different ways to help me out but like nothing's ever helped," she admitted.
4. They've posted about their journey on Instagram.
When Shannon and Cardwell traveled to Los Angeles together last month to have their procedures done and talk to the press about their decision, they shared this post on Instagram, letting their fans know that some major changes were coming.
"Had a great time in California can’t wait for y’all to see my new look and weight loss," said Shannon's caption.
5. Meanwhile, Mama June's exact whereabouts are a mystery.
Though June has certainly been making headlines for her legal battle (which could land her in jail for as long as a year, after she was indicted on drug charges last spring), it's hard to pin down exactly what she's doing. She infrequently updates her Instagram account though in January, she did share a selfie where she let fans know that she is missing her family.
Her caption said: "Well decided to get back at it im not saying im.perfect as everyday is a strugglr n some days i just want to disappear n even though me n kids arent still seeing each other n its veen very hard on all of us but i hope one day that will cgange as i want them to know i miss n love them very much."
6. The sisters seem very happy with the outcome of their surgery.
"The first week I just noticed my face was getting smaller and now I feel like every day when I wake up my waist is smaller," Shannon said. "Your confidence level goes up like extremely. There's no looking back. I love what we did and I wouldn't trade it for the world."
In the end, all that matters is that Shannon and Cardwell are happy with their decision, and it certainly seems they are. Hopefully, their recovery will continue to go smoothly — and they'll share more updates on social media.
