Are Bow Wow And Angela Simmons Dating? The Subtle Hint This Former Couple Is On Again
The former couple may be a current couple again!
Back in the day before reality shows and the Internet were ubiquitous, Bow Wow and Angela Simmons were in love. Their relationship was very much of the "puppy love" variety, and back in 2019, both Bow Wow (born Shad Moss) and Angela Simmons said that they were way too young to fall in love when they first began dating. Simmons also admitted she and Bow Wow never made it to the official "boyfriend and girlfriend" stage, in part, because they were too young to fall in love.
But for what it's worth, Bow Wow's mother Teresa always said that Simmons was "her favorite" of all of her son's girlfriends.
Now, however, rumors are swirling that Bow Wow and Simmons are going to give it another go!
So, are Bow Wow and Angela Simmons dating ... again? Here's what we know about the rumors.
1. Are Bow Wow and Angela Simmons dating again? There's some suggestion that they want to give it another try.
In a recent episode of Growing Up Hip Hop, which you can see above, both Bow Wow and Simmons said that they would be open to the idea of giving their romance another try. Bow Wow said that his relationship with Simmons was always of the "Martin & Gina" variety, meaning it was always a question of when they were going to get together, not if. Simmons, for her part, said that she had a fantasy from when she was 17 years old that she and Bow Wow would ultimately end up together.
2. Bow Wow said that he split with Simmons "back in the day" because she wouldn't sleep with him.
In the same video, Bow Wow admitted that he split up with Simmons "back in the day" because she wouldn't sleep with him.
"Angela was a virgin and I wanted some p***y," he said, romantically, while opining that because Simmons wanted to hold off on sex, a relationship with her could never work. "That s**t hard," he summed up.
3. Bow Wow and Simmons remained friends even after they split up.
Despite never getting to the official "boyfriend and girlfriend" stage when they were younger, Simmons and Bow Wow remained friends to this day. "I’ve known this man since I was 17,” she said. “Our stories are countless. I love him to death. That is like my people. I don’t know where we’ll wound up. We’re friends. We’re cool.”
4. Bow Wow and Simmons' friendship didn't sit well with Simmons' now-ex-boyfriend, the rapper Romeo Miller.
In the same interview where Simmons admits that she and Bow Wow remained friends even though their romantic relationship didn't work out, she said that her friendship with Bow Wow didn't sit well with her boyfriend at the time, Romeo Miller. In fact, her friendship with Bow Wow not only played a role in her split from Miller but it caused her and Miller to stop being friend as well.
"As a friend, if [Romeo’s] a real friend, then I’d like you to have that conversation with me. Whether or not I’m going to stop or not would be on me. But as a friend, if you feel like it’s something you don’t like to see, then have that conversation with me," she said. “Even now, I’m so over talking about him because it just got blown out of proportion at this point.”
5. Bow Wow has said he's not yet ready to settle down.
Despite Simmons being excited about the prospect of her and Bow Wow having a happily-ever-after, Bow Wow says he's not quite ready to settle down yet.
"You know what? I've been thinking about the idea of me walking down an aisle and all of that. I'm not saying it's far out of reach, but it's kinda weird seeing myself do that right now. As far as settling down, I'm just so focused on what's going on in my career, this tour and everything I got going on so if I date somebody, I gotta be able to give her my all. All of my attention. And I'm not gon' lie, I'm one of them dudes, I like my space," he said.
6. What about that TikTok video?
A video of Simmons and Bow Wow doing a TikTok video together recently popped up, also fueling speculation that the couple was seeing one another again. But Simmons immediately made clear that they are not seeing one another at this time. However, that doesn't mean there's no chance for reconciliation.
We'll definitely keep you posted on any developments in this on-again, off-again saga!
