Who's The Next Bachelorette 2020? A List Of The Most Likely Contenders
ABC has a lot of choices when it comes to their next leading lady.
It's hard to believe that Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor is coming to an end, but soon, he'll make his final choice — and when it comes to the next Bachelorette, so will ABC.
Given that Weber's season has been a lot different from seasons in the past, it's hard to say if the network will go with a woman from the current season, or another alum of the franchise (like they've done in the past, most recently when Arie Luyendyk Jr. was Bachelor).
So who is the next Bachelorette 2020? At this point, anything could happen — whether she ends up being one of Weber's final remaining ladies or someone from another season entirely.
1. Kelley Flanagan has been a fan favorite this season.
Since the beginning, Kelley Flanagan has been an easy favorite — and that's saying a lot, being that many of the contestants this season have struggled to find their way into fans' hearts. Flanagan and Weber had some history together, having met in a hotel before she found out she'd been cast on the show, and their chemistry was real... not to mention the fact that Flanagan stood up for herself and held her own among all the drama, until Weber sent her home, at least. There's only one thing pointing to Flanagan not being ABC's choice: Bachelor Nation Spoiler King Reality Steve recently shared that Flanagan wasn't invited to Women Tell All, which Isn't a great sign.
2. Kelsey Weier seems to be gunning for the job.
Weier is best known for the absolute meltdown she had over a bottle of champagne that she brought to the Bachelor mansion, immediately making her memorable to fans. The fact that she is so memorable (and managed to hang in there very close to the end of the season) means that she might end up being a producer favorite ... and no one can deny that she'd definitely be entertaining to watch, especially if champs is involved.
3. Hannah Brown could get a second crack at the gig.
After the disastrous way Brown's season of The Bachelorette ended last year, some fans are keeping their fingers crossed that she'll get another chance to find the love of her life on the show. Brown was definitely interesting enough to watch twice and she's managed to hang onto a pretty strong fanbase over the past year. But there is a prior commitment that could get in her way; she's joining certain dates of the Dancing With The Stars tour that conflict with when The Bachelorette films. They're both ABC productions, though, so surely if they want Brown back as the Bachelorette badly enough, they could make it happen ... maybe.
4. Kendall Long is another popular choice.
It was heartbreaking to find out that Kendall Long and Joe Amabile broke up recently after meeting and falling in love on Bachelor in Paradise, but that just means that she's now single and free to be the Bachelorette come spring. Long has remained a fan favorite even though it's been awhile since fans were first introduced to her (and her taxidermy habit) on Luyendyk Jr.'s season, but she could still end up being ABC's pick — and Reality Steve has counted her among the possible options on his podcast.
5. It could also be Clare Crawley.
Despite her many appearances on Bachelor franchise shows including The Bachelor, Bachelor In Paradise, and Bachelor Winter Games, Crawley is still single, so maybe The Bachelorette could be just what she needs to help her find the one. At 38, she's much older than many leads that ABC tends to pick, but being that a big complaint has been how young the contestants are on the show recently, she could be just what they need for a refreshing new season.
6. But who is the next Bachelorette 2020? Only time will tell.
Usually, ABC announces the next Bachelorette on the After The Final Rose after show of The Bachelor, so there are only a few weeks to wait until we know for sure who gets the gig. But given how vocal fans have been over their dislike of Weber's season, it's going to take a pretty awesome Bachelorette to keep people's interest in the franchise. Fingers crossed that it'll be amazing — and maybe even, as Chris Harrison always says, the most dramatic season in Bachelorette history.
