Which New Movie Is Perfect For Your Zodiac Sign, According To Astrology
Each film is critically acclaimed in its own right.
Just about everyone loves to be entertained, and with the steady stream of non-stop entertainment that's accessible to us, we can easily keep ourselves in movie-bliss.
What makes us love the movies so much is often times all about how we relate to that film. Was the lead just like us? Was the topic one we are interested in? Was there something in that film that felt inspiring, as if it the message in it were made for us, alone?
Watching movies a very specific thing, and many of us take our film intake very seriously. We associate with certain characters, while we naturally rebel against others. Sometimes we style ourselves to look like the characters we admire, and sometimes we let the messages we find in movies become our own messages and causes.
The movies have the power to change our lives, our minds and our perception. Look at how films like the Rocky Horror Picture Show have made their mark on the world. And when it comes to superheroes and villains, the movies give us all the fantasy we'll ever need.
Interestingly enough, certain zodiac signs tend to go for certain kinds of movies. Of all the new movies out now and recently available to us, which ones appeal to each zodiac sign?
Aries (March 21 - April 19): Jojo Rabbit
Aries loves a good fantasy situation, and since they are already war story lovers as well as history buffs, a movie like Jojo Rabbit gives them enough of what they love best in a movie, with a great cast of competent actors. They get the jokes and know when to take things seriously. They are smart enough to understand the subtleties as well as the deep, human lessons within.
Jojo Rabbit is a smart, goofy movie that is able to shed light on an awful situation, much like the ability of Aries to do so in real life.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Marriage Story
Marriage Story with Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansen is a good, solid Taurus-style movie with much emotion and reality involved. Taurus can handle this kind of reality; they like this movie because it shows real life unvarnished and believable.
What attracts Taurus to this kind of movie is exactly that: it pulls no punches, is relatively predictable ,and in all of that reality-based drama, it's still able to be human, vulnerable and somewhat identifiable.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20): Joker
Gemini is the clown who cries, so this movie is for them. It's hard to be a Gemini; they are shut down and closed up emotionally, their communication skills are completely off-base, and most of society looks at them as if they are without value.
While this may or may not be true — Gemini feels it is true — no one has ever understood them for who they are. The dark side of Gemini relates to Joker, as they live in a fantasy of vengeance and retribution. If anyone's going to turn into a psycho killer, it's Gemini.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22): Ad Astra
It's a lonely movie about space travel and homelessness, and it should work on Cancer's sense of being home all too well. Cancers might feel adverse to such an agoraphobic view, but it will allow them to get in touch with just how blessed they are to be on earth, in a home, and not in space, traveling aimlessly for all of eternity.
Cancer likes the finite; they love the home base, and they will identify with the need to be home with family. Ad Astra is a slow-moving film, and Cancer will relate to it.
Leo (July 23 - August 22): John Wick 3
Leo isn't the sign that backs down, and when it comes to crash-pow action, Leo likes to relate to gun-toting murder machines like Keanu, as John Wick. And it's not necessarily the 3D installment of the John Wick series that gets 'em — it's the whole Wick trilogy.
Shoot 'em up, bang 'em out — that's how Leo likes it. Dangerous, yet alluring, Leo walks out of the theater completely believing they are the lead characters, every single time.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22): Knives Out
Sounds like a typical day in Virgo-world as it is. This is just the kind of movie that thrills Virgo as it's made up of scheming and planning, all for the purpose of vengeance and justice.
Also, it's familial, and Virgo's biggest gripe is with family, so a movie about conning and double-crossing one's own family is particularly close to Virgo's heart.
Libra (September 23 - October 22): Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
First, Libras are all Tom Hanks fans, not to mention that they all keep a special place in their hearts for the charming, old-timey characters from days gone by. Mr. Rogers represents all that is good in us, and his ways show that human potential is best when applied to kindness and compassion.
Libra wants the world to think of them as kind and compassionate, and though that is virtually impossible to do — as they are all liars — they like to fantasize that they are good people, which is why they are attracted to movies like Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21): Uncut Gems
Noise, lies, trickery, theft, con jobs, screaming, controlling — it's all on the checklist for what Scorpio loves. This movie is loud, and so is Scorpio. It's a film about the life of a jeweler/hustler and what he must endure just to keep up the breakneck pace of being so involved in so many things, non-stop.
This kind of pace and frantic filming is just what Scorpio goes for — a totally engaging, but loud and annoying, piece on the life of a hustler who will do anything to make a sale.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21): It
Sagittarius rarely deals with reality, so if it has anything to do with Stephen King, they're there, with bells on. It not only has the sufficient creepiness that thrills Sagittarius, but they identify to the Killer Clown, Pennywise, which says almost too much about them.
When Sagittarius leaves the theater after a viewing of It, they are no longer themselves; they're the lead character: a ruthless, maniacal, bouncy clown. While they're not killers, Sagittarius sure does like making you think they must be!
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19): Parasite
Capricorn is a bit obsessed with money; in fact, their lives are built upon the idea of being successful. Parasite appeals to both their sense of dark humor and oddly impermanent nature of riches and money, in general.
Capricorn enjoys this film because it makes them both uncomfortable and concerned, in all the best Capricorn ways. The sign that loves to make everything work is also fascinated with how their efforts could all fall apart, and that is what Parasite is about, basically.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): Doctor Sleep
This sign is known to follow Stephen King to hell and back, and this Doctor Sleep movie is right up their alley. It's dark and depressing, is filmed almost entirely in the shadows; it's so much like Aquarius personality that it would be hard not to identify them in this film.
Aquarius has always had a fascination with serial killers and psychopaths, and this movie is not only great, it's the follow story to The Shining, which is also an Aquarius dream come true.
Pisces (February 19 - March 10): Us
They like to be scared. Pisces, a sign that symbolizes duality, much like Gemini, is fascinated with stories where identity and personal space is concerned.
Us is directly about losing one's identity and becoming a monster, with monstrous visions and all. This sign doesn't want much more than to dive into a deep psychological thriller, and if it's challenging and original, as Us is, then all the better.
