Who Is Milan Rouge Harris, Meek Mill's Baby Mama?
Congratulations to the happy couple!
The Nicki Minaj/Meek Mill Twitter war was brutal, negative, and dominated the blog-osphere headlines for days.
But in the midst of the mess, something good did indeed come out of it: the news — however inadvertently dropped — that Mill's longtime girlfriend was pregnant with the couple's first child.
There'd been rumors about Mill's impending fatherhood, but thanks to dropping the bombshell news during the Minaj/Mill Twitter beef, the Philadelphia-born rapper confirmed that he was, indeed, going to be a father.
So who is Milan Rouge Harris, Meek Mill's baby mama, with whom he's expecting a child?
Let's look at what we know about her.
1. Who is Milan Rouge Harris, Meek Mill's baby mama? They've been dating for about a year.
Even though Mill never publicly "claimed" Harris until her pregnancy was announced, Harris and Mill have been together for about a year. The duo reportedly got together for a romantic getaway in October 2019 but still didn't publicly confirm their relationship. However, since Mill let it "slip" during his battle with his ex, he's been more comfortable with claiming his "boo thing." On the Instagram photo seen below, in fact, Mill commented with a series of gold trophy emojis, seeming to give the "green light" to his girl's choice of get-up.
2. She's a fashion designer.
Harris is the owner of the Milano Di Rouge streetwear clothing line which she, herself, is often photographed in as well. She also runs the WomanAire club on Instagram, which aims to help women "gain confidence through inspiration, motivation and conversation."
3. She announced her pregnancy at a fashion show last year.
Every year, Harris hosts a fashion show where she showcases her Milano Di Rouge streetwear fashions for each year. At last year's fashion show, she announced she was six weeks pregnant with, as it would turn out, Mill's baby. "Being surrounded by my family, friends, team members, customers and supporters meant so much to me and seeing y’all enjoy the show that we worked so hard on and your reaction to the poets, Ballerina’s, the video of my journey and the reveal of my pregnancy was priceless. Thank you all," she said.
4. Harris said she wasn't going to share all the details of her pregnancy publicly.
In the same video where she announced her pregnancy, Harris said she had no intention of announcing who the father of her child was just yet, and wanted to choose what she wanted to share and didn't share with the world. "As for the blogs, again those of you that know me, know how private I am and know that I don't like being featured on gossip blogs," she said. "I’m not a celebrity. I’m just a hard-working businesswoman that uses my brand and platform to inspire others to make their dreams a reality and never give up on their dreams & that’s how I would like it to stay. I don't want to be apart of that negative blog world. I am a human being, I do not want to wake up to public statements about my private life. I want to continue to decide what I want to share on social and what I don't want to be shared and I have every right to. .. so please respect that."
5. While it's unclear where Mill and Harris met, they're both natives of Philadelphia.
Like her man, Harris is a native of Philadelphia, and is very involved in the local fashion scene, and it could be implied — though not outright stated — that this is where they met. Harris opened her first fashion boutique for Milano Di Rouge in Philadelphia back in 2016.
6. She seems unbothered by Mill's feud with Minaj.
In her most recent Instagram post, Harris seemed to suggest that she was unbothered by Mill and Minaj's Twitter beef. "These days all I can think about is my sweet baby. Lately, I've mastered the art of remaining calm in lots of situations because I only want positive energy transferred to my little blessing," she said.
Congratulations are in order for both Mill and Harris on their bundle of joy!
