Is Kailyn Lowry Pregnant? 'Teen Mom 2' Star Reveals Gender Of Fourth Child With Chris Lopez

getty It seems like there's always drama in the Teen Mom universe, but this story is pretty big. Rumors had been swirling that Kailyn Lowry was pregnant with her fourth child... and her second with ex Chris Lopez, who fathered her youngest son, Lux.
Is Kailyn Lowry pregnant?
In February 2020, after months of speculation, the Teen Mom 2 star confirmed the happy news that she is, indeed, pregnant.
However, Lowry didn't reveal who the baby's father is. And since her previous three kids all have different fathers, not everyone is so sure that it's Lopez.
So who is the real father of Lowry's fourth child? Is it Lopez or someone else? Let's investigate.
1. Is Kailyn Lowry pregnant? Rumors started when an ultrasound photo surfaced that was reportedly Lowry's.
The Teen Mom Shade Room Instagram account shared this screenshot in January 2020, claiming that Lowry had texted this photo of an ultrasound to Lopez's aunt and local friends where she lives in Delaware.
Of course, there was no identifying information about Lowry on the sonogram itself but, reportedly, she's due on July 25, which would have made her about three months pregnant.
2. One of Lowry's friends defended her, seemingly confirming the pregnancy.
Teen Mom Shade Room also shared another screenshot of a comment left on the original post where the family member or friend shared the ultrasound photo. The person who left the comment, Michael A. Matos, seems to be friends with Lowry in real life, and has even posted photos of her sons on his Instagram in the past.
"I'm actually disappointed that you decided to leak information," the comment said, according to the screenshot. "Mad or not you should be ashamed of it... not only does it affect her but goddamn it affect your family too! You're an adult and AT LUX BIRTHDAY YOU LITERALLY SAID and I'll repeat 'Chris and Kail have to learn to be adults for Lux at all times.' Cameras were rollin' and you wanted to be the one to look good I guess but this whole time you were waiting for the f*ckin perfect moment to 'expose Kail'."
3. There are allegations Lopez has been abusive to Lowry.
While all of this news about Lopez and Lowry was coming out, so were allegations that Lopez had been abusive to Lowry.
Reportedly, Lowry had a protective order out against him that he had violated, and that a warrant was issued for his arrest just a few weeks ago. An anonymous source also DMed the Teen Mom Shade Room with the alleged details of the situation.
"Chris has been physically abusive with Kail for awhile now," the DM said. "One occasion I very well remember was a time when Chris strangled Kail and the dog that Kail bought for Chris because Kail refused to talk about her past relationships with Chris. Chris does not want to be around Lux (and he's openly admitted) that he takes his frustrations with Kail out on the baby. Everyone calls Kail crazy but Chris manipulates her and lies to her."
4. Lowry already has three sons: Isaac, Lincoln, and Lux.
This new baby will be her fourth child. 16 & Pregnant chronicled her pregnancy with then-boyfriend Jo Rivera as she gave birth to her oldest son, Isaac, who is now 9. Later, she had another son, Lincoln, 6, with Javi Marroquin, who she married in 2013 and then divorced in 2015.
Although it's unclear if she and Lopez were ever in an exclusive relationship, they welcomed her youngest son, Lux, two years ago. Teen Mom fans know that the lines in Lopez and Lowry's relationship have always been confusing, and it doesn't sound like that's about to change anytime soon.
5. Lowry shared one cryptic tweet about the situation in January 2020, but would not outwardly confirm anything.
On January 15, Lowry tweeted, "Defeated. Y'all won" after the reports about her and Lopez had surfaced. It certainly seemed like she was referring to the situation around her reported pregnancy, but it was impossible to know for sure.
Other than the above tweet, Lowry had been very quiet on Twitter. But being that Lowry had always been an open book when it comes to her personal life, it wasn't surprising to fans that some kind of update was coming.
6. She confirmed her pregnancy in February 2020.
Luckily, Lowry didn't keep her fans waiting for too long when she posted a photo on her Instagram page in early February confirming the pregnancy. In the cute snap, the reality star is sitting with all three of her children, with Lux holding up a sonogram photo.
In the caption, Lowry wrote, “We’re confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon. I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant and it’s been a rough few months this time around. I’ve had nausea, morning sickness and absolutely no energy. This week I’m starting to feel a bit better and I’m really hoping it stays this way.”
Although Lowry herself has not confirmed who the father of her fourth child is, there are reports that it is Lopez.
However, the reality star had responded to a Twitter fan back in October 2019 who questioned whether she would be having another child again. Lowry wrote back, “It’s a girl!” but then followed up with, “Just kidding. No more babies until there’s a ring on this finger.”
7. Lowry also revealed the baby's gender.
Looks like it'll be another boy for the reality star! Lowry just revealed that her fourth child would be a boy. She also posted a photo to Instagram, letting fans know the gender.
