Swizz Beatz's Baby Mama Jahna Sebastian Accuses The Producer Of Being Racist And Abusive
Yikes!
Like many others in hip hop, Kasseem Dean — known to the world at large as Swizz Beatz — is a man who while extremely talented, is also extremely messy in his private life. In addition to having two children with his current wife, Alicia Keys, he has three children with three different women — and the women overlapped with one another.
Rumors about Swizz's cheating ways have been circulating in the industry since the turn of the 21st century, when his first baby mama, Mashonda Tifrere, had a pregnancy that ended in a stillbirth.
But now, one of his other baby mamas — a woman by the name of Jahna Sebastian — is accusing the legendary producer of a lot more than being just a flaky baby daddy.
Who is Swizz Beatz's baby mama? Here's what we know about her, and her explosive accusations against him.
1. Who is Swizz Beatz's baby mama, Jahna Sebastian? She's an R&B singer with a career of her own.
Jahna Sebastian, like the other women in Swizz Beatz's life, is "in the business" as well. Based in the UK, Sebastian has a string of hit songs to her credit, including "Looking for Love," "In The Mist," and "Game Of The Jungle." She shares a lot of her songs on her Soundcloud page, and shares a daughter named Nicole with the producer.
2. Swizz Beatz didn't know about his daughter with Sebastian until one year after her birth.
Swizz Beatz and Sebastian first got together back in 2007. Their daughter Nicole, however, was born in May 2008. During this time, Swizz Beats was hot and heavy with Tifrere, and their reunion produced a son in 2006. However, Swizz Beatz didn't know about his daughter with Sebastian until 2008, and per Sebastian, there was a good reason for that.
"I did not want the news about my pregnancy and my daughter’s birth to become the reason [for] his divorce [from Mashonda]. It wasn’t because I kept it secret from most people and from the media, although I mentioned the name in my immigration case during that time when I wasn’t asked but demanded confidentiality from them.
On top of that, I didn’t even want to have anything [to do] with a married man, but I had to put my pride aside to give my child a chance to have a relationship with her father, however, it had to happen at the right time. I only reached out with official paperwork after I have found out that the divorce had already been filed for totally different reasons that had nothing to do with my child and me," she said.
3. Sebastian and Swizz Beatz went back and forth with child support issues until 2014.
Sebastian — whose real name is Zhanna Andrianova — and Swizz Beatz went back and forth with child support issues from 2009 (when Swizz Beatz discovered his child's existence) until 2014, when they finally settled out of court.
Thanks to their settlement, Sebastian couldn't be deported from the UK to Russia, and Swizz Beats was responsible for more than $42,000 in her legal fees and costs.
4. A few weeks ago, Sebastian went head-to-head with Alicia Keys.
Baby mamas and wives go together like oil and water, and Sebastian's relationship with Keys is no different. Not long ago, Sebastian took to her Instagram account to accuse Keys of overstepping her boundaries as a stepmother.
"I am the only mother to my child," she wrote, adding that "no one else" will be called any variation of "Mother" by her daughter.
5. But Swizz Beatz called out Sebastian for making their family drama a public affair.
In a series of Instagram stories posted to his account (whose screenshots were, of course, captured by yet another account), Swizz Beats said that Sebastian was a drama queen, and that she should have kept the family drama private. He also said that it was their daughter's choice to call Keys "Umi" (the Arabic word for "Mother"), and that Sebastian should have taken it up with their daughter, not the court of public opinion.
6. Sebastian recently accused Swizz Beatz of being racist and abusive.
Seeming to take yet another shot at her baby daddy, Sebastian took to her Instagram account yet again to accuse Swizz Beatz and Keys of not only being abusive, but of being racist.
"Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys husband and her fan base have been threatening me. His wife, who is supposed to be ‘pro-women’ is aware of this. I fear for my life and safety," she wrote. "Promoting violence against a woman, a mother of your child, is very low and unmanly, to say the least."
