Before Caroline Flack tragically died by suicide, she and boyfriend Lewis Burton had made headlines after a fight between them got physical, leading to Flack being arrested for allegedly assaulting Burton.
But before her death, it seemed like the fight hadn't done much to damage their relationship and they were still going strong — even though they hadn't been together all that long.

1. Who was Caroline Flack's boyfriend? Lewis Burton is an English tennis player.
At 27 years old, Burton is a model and professional tennis player from Sidcup, Kent. He’s been playing the sport since he was a kid, and even played doubles in Wimbledon back in 2010.
According to his Instagram, when he’s not with Flack or playing tennis, Burton is into traveling and playing golf, and he frequently shares his modeling photos on his account, too.
2. Lewis Burton and Caroline Flack had been dating since August.
Or, at least, that’s when they became Instagram official. Flack made her first appearance on Burton’s Instagram on August 26, when he shared a photo of them sitting together on a blanket on the lawn at Soho Farmhouse.
Since then, they’ve shared bits and pieces of their relationship with their followers, from coupled up selfies to travel photos.
3. Before her death, Flack was arrested for allegedly assaulting Burton.
Reportedly, their fight began when Flack saw text messages from another woman on Burton’s phone while they were both drunk and the argument escalated from there. Sources say it was all a misunderstanding, police were called and ended up arresting Flack for assault, although they did confirm that Burton was not seriously injured.

4. Burton stood by Flack after the incident.
Not only had there been reports claiming that Burton wasn't pressing charges, but he also took to his Instagram Story to defend her.
"I'm tired of the lies and abuse aimed at my girlfriend. This is not a witch hunt, this is someone's life," he said at the time, adding, “Caroline is the most lovely girl. Loyal and kind. She doesn't deserve any of this."
Just one day before she took her own life, Burton took to his Instagram stories to wish a Happy Valentine's Day to his embattled girlfriend. And, around the time of her birthday, he posted a photo of the two of them together with the caption, "happy birthday to my little pocket rocket."
5. Flack had stepped down from her hosting gig on Love Island.
In a since-deleted Instagram story post before her death, Flack explained that she didn’t want her personal life to detract from the upcoming season this summer, so she decided she wouldn’t be returning. Otherwise, it seemed like since her arrest she had been laying low, since she had been quiet on social media ever since.
6. Burton and Flack were allegely still a couple at the time of her death.
It certainly had seems that they had decided to continue on with their relationship, regardless of what might have happened as Flack faced the consequences of her arrest.
