Beanie Feldstein's In Love! Meet Her Girlfriend Bonnie Chance Roberts
Cute couple alert!
Ah, love is grand! Just ask actress and Booksmart star Beanie Feldstein and her girlfriend. The two recently walked the red carpet at the world premiere of Cats in New York City.
Who is Beanie Feldstein's girlfriend? On Monday, December 16th, the couple held hands as they joined the stars of the movie Cats for the premiere at New York City's Lincoln Center.
Feldstein's girlfriend is producer Bonnie Chance Roberts. The two met while filming Feldstein's latest movie How to Build a Girl late last year. In an interview, Feldstein said that she didn't think about finding love before she met Bonnie.
"It just wasn't something I thought about or craved," she revealed. After meeting her girlfriend she realized, "Whoa! Now I get it. I get why people write songs. Not to sound flippant, but I was in love with her and all of her, and she's a woman. That's not scaring me or deterring me. And it wasn't just women in general; it was her specifically."
1. Who is Beanie Feldstein's girlfriend?
Bonnie Chance Roberts is a British film producer who co-produced Feldstein's movie How to Build a Girl, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Roberts has also worked on the television shows Will and Harlots, and was an assistant on the movie Bridget Jones' Baby. She also served as a co-producer on a short film called Nether.
2. How long have they been dating?
Roberts and Feldstein have been linked since late 2018. They made their red carpet debut not at the premiere of Cats this week as various outlets are reporting, but back in September when How to Build a Girl debuted.
The film is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Caitlin Moran. The movie was filmed in mid-2018 and is what brought Feldstein and Roberts together.
3. What is How to Build a Girl about?
In How to Build a Girl, Feldstein plays Johanna, a working-class girl from the English town Wolverhampton. The story follows the "journey of teenager Johanna Morrigan, who reinvents herself as Dolly Wilde: fast-talking, lady sex-adventurer, moves to London, and gets a job as a music critic in the hope of saving her poverty-stricken family."
Feldstein carries the whole film. This is a departure from her previous roles playing the sidekick like in Booksmart and Lady Bird.
4. They had coordinating red carpet looks.
At the New York City screening of Cats, Feldstein and Roberts had coordinating looks. They both work leopard print — which is pretty appropriate for the film they were seeing.
Feldstein layered a long, black, sleeveless dress over a leopard print blouse with a bow. Roberts wore a hot pink leopard print blazer over a black top and black pants. Meow, indeed.
5. Beanie has a nickname for her girlfriend.
Feldstein even has a nickname for Roberts. She calls her "Bon." Before she met Roberts, she just assumed she wasn't the relationship type. Even her brother, Jonah Hill, agreed, calling her the "Dexter of relationships" in the same interview — due to the fact that she's a very loving person but she was icy when talking about her love life.
According to big bro, Feldstein just didn't make love and relationships a priority in her life until she met Roberts. Feldstein credits Roberts with showing her what romantic love is.
6. Their Instagrams are basically a tribute to their relationship.
We're not gonna lie, a glance at Felstein's Instagram shows just how much fun she and Roberts have together. In a photo from the Tanglewood Music Festival in July, Feldstein captioned a selfie of the couple, "well there’s something in the way she moves, looks my way or calls my name."
Roberts' Instagram is similar. On June 24, Roberts posted a birthday tribute to Feldstein, saying, "Happy Birthday @beaniefeldstein ! I have been waking up feeling this excited since the moment I met you. You are an immeasurable force of magic and I am so lucky to be by your side. Happy birthday my adventure partner. Thanks for making every day a punch the air day. I love you."
