Former Olympic figure skater Sasha Cohen, 35, shared some exciting news this week!
She and fiancé Geoffrey Lieberthal are expecting their first child together.
Cohen shared the announcement on her Instagram, posing with balloons that spelled out the word "baby."
“Geoff and I are so excited to welcome a little one into the world!” the 2006 Olympic silver medalist captioned her Instagram post. “Thank you to everyone in our lives for making today such a memorable one.”
Her post is flooding with congratulatory comments of excitement for the couple.
This has been an exciting year for the newly engaged couple, and we can’t wait to see their little one!

1. What has Sasha been up to since the Olympics?
The retired figure skater, whose full name is Alexandra Pauline Cohen, took home a silver medal in the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Italy.
Today, the 35-year-old Los Angeles native lives in New York City, where she works as an associate for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. She also makes appearances as a guest speaker for the United States Olympic Committee.
Lieberthal currently works as a partner with Lee Equity Partners, LLC and has been with the company since 2012.
2. She may have alluded to her pregnancy in a previous Instagram post.
Cohen celebrated her birthday three weeks ago and, in retrospect, may have sneakily hinted at her pregnancy by saying she was looking forward to the new year.
“I feel incredibly grateful to celebrate my birthday this year with good friends and my fiancé," she wrote. "I think I’m a little wiser, more resilient, and closer to figuring out (and prioritizing) the things that really matter in life. Wishing this next year is as good as the last.”
3. Cohen and Lieberthal got engaged in October.
Last month, Cohen shared news of her engagement in an announcement on Instagram.
The two were on a romantic trip in Paris when he popped the question right in front of Jardin des Tuileries. Cohen shared stunning photos from the trip, and we are sure it’s an experience she'll never forget.
Cohen said that she will be focusing on her growing family while she tackles wedding planning, too.
4. Lieberthal is a graduate of Stanford University.
According to Lieberthal's LinkedIn, he has quite the resume.
He obtained his bachelor's in Engineering from Dartmouth in 1996, attended Beijing Normal University for a certificate in Mandarin, and then received an MBA from Stanford in ’02.
He now serves as a senior private equity professional with experience in healthcare services and consumer/retail industries.
5. Cohen's divorce was finalized last year.
Cohen was previously married to hedge fund manager Tom May, but the two called it quits in 2018.
The pair started dating in 2014 and married two years later.
In a 2017 Instagram post she shared optimistic thoughts about the future, “I am sincerely grateful for the new opportunities in my life and accepting of the defining life events that have pushed me to grow and reflect as I embrace the unknown, but beautiful future."
6. Cohen is a graduate of Columbia University.
Cohen initially hoped to compete again at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, but tendonitis in her calf slowed her down, and while she was appointed a second alternate, she was not selected for the Olympic team.
She made the decision to retire and pursue a degree at Columbia in 2011, graduating in 2016 with a degree in politic science.
In 2016, she was inducted into the ;U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

Sasha Cohen the figure skater realized he'd done this back in the summer, retweeting a user who pointed out the comedic profile change.
We assume this mean she approves.
