How Each Zodiac Sign Gets Over A Horrible Day
Don't let one bad day get you off your game.
We’ve all had those days when everything goes wrong and then even worse things happen on top of that. But you don’t want one bad day to morph into a bad week, month, or year, so you’ve got to do what you can to get to a better emotional place.
But if we consider astrology and its influences on us, how the zodiac signs get over a bad day all depends on the stars. It’s an easy way to see what works and how people cope with various challenges.
The trick is to never let a bad day make you feel bad about yourself or your life. You can use them to give you perspective and a sense of gratitude; even though you’ve had a horrible day, not every day after that will be the same, and the future holds many more good days than bad.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries tend to have a very positive spirit, so it takes more than one bad day to get them off track. To move past their horrible day, they will do something physical like rock-climbing, biking, or taking a run.
Physical exercise is a natural way to boost your mood, help you sleep better, and relieve stress — everything you need after a day from hell. If Aries does a strenuous workout of any kind, it will help them get back to their regular optimistic-self.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
For Taurus to get over a bad day, they need to do something for their senses. Aromatherapy, a massage, having a bath in scented oils, or eating some of their favorite foods will do wonders for their mood.
They shouldn't do anything too taxing or their bad day will become their bad mood, so easy things where Taurus doesn't have to make much of an effort are best. If all they want to do is chill out on the couch and watch streaming movies or series, that's good too.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
If Gemini has had a horrible day, the best thing they can do is spend time with their friends, partners, family members — anybody they trust and is supportive of them.
While Geminis have many acquaintances, there are fewer people that they really trust, but those people mean everything to them and have the power to heal with their presence.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
If Cancer is having a horrible day, their first instinct may be to crawl into bed and sleep for a long time, and that's a valid idea. However, what would help them more is to get out of the house and do something they really enjoy like going to a concert or a show.
The best thing for Cancer is to not dwell on everything that went wrong that day and to focus on the things that make them happy — music, nature, and things that inspire their creativity.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
When Leo has had a horrible day, the best thing is to do something for someone else, like entertaining at a retirement home or organizing a charity event for a cause.
Volunteer work may sound like the last thing Leo would want to do, but helping others is something that makes them feel good and helps give them perspective. Besides, meeting new people energizes them.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
When Virgo is having a bad day, they need to put their analytical skills to use. If Virgo looks at the day in a practical way but without blame, they can see things clearly.
Their first instinct may be to try to fix everything, but if they realize that some things are unfixable and that it's best to just let them go, Virgo will be able to move on. Virgo can take responsibility for their part in the bad day and release the rest.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
The best cure for Libra's bad day is to spend time with their pets. Pets don't judge and they give unconditional love, which is exactly what Libra needs.
Being affectionate with a furry friend also helps to de-stress and relax rather than amp them up. If Libra takes their dog for a walk or plays with their cat, they'll forget their terrible day and enjoy the present moment.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
To get over a horrible day, it's best if Scorpio doesn't deal with it right away. They can be intense, and if they jump into those negative feelings right away, it could make things worse, and they might do something they'd regret.
Meditating or doing some yoga first, taking deep breaths, or going on a walk around the block and then dealing with their day is the best plan for Scorpio.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
If Sagittarius is having a bad day, they'll do what they can as fast as possible to get over it. Looking forward helps them a lot, so planning their next vacation or getaway will help them get over their rotten day and focus on something that makes them happy.
They can also go shopping for a new travel pillow or camping gear — whatever makes the future trip more of a sure thing.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are wise and know there is always going to be a horrible day every now and then. But that it doesn't mean their life is terrible. However, it may be a little harder for Capricorn to tap into that kind of chill philosophy when that bad day happens to them.
When everything has gone wrong, Capricorns need to go inward and access their inner sense of calm. Talking to and giving themselves a pep-talk can be helpful. This was just a blip on the road, and it means nothing when it comes to their life.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
If Aquarius has had a horrible day, the best thing they can do is blow off steam by fixating on a problem to solve. They will take their frustration and anger and put it towards a new project or one that's been a challenge to them.
When Aquarius has something new to focus on, everything else tends to fall away. They thrive on being productive and one bad day isn't going to make them give up on everything they need to do.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Whereas Aquarius tends to be a creative problem-solver, Pisces are artistically creative. When they've had a horrible day, the best thing for them is to turn to art — viewing it, experiencing it or participating in it.
They may lose themselves in the fantasy world of a novel, be taken out of themselves by a play or a movie, or may do a deep dive into one of their art projects — writing their own novel, painting, photography, or whatever way best expresses their creativity.
