Anthony Rapp Is Engaged! Meet His Fiancé Ken Ithiphol

Congratulations are in order because actor Anthony Rapp and Ken Ithiphol are officially engaged! The Star Trek: Discovery actor announced his engagement this past Saturday on Instagram, to his 59,000 followers with the caption: “So something happened tonight. I asked @teerakeni if he would marry me and he said yes,” Rapp, 48, posted. Ken also shared the exciting news and even posted the cutest illustration of the couple’s proposal made by artist Jemina Malkk. He captioned the photo, “I'm so overjoyed to be engaged to this incredibly brilliant, handsome, and all-around special man @albinokid1026.” Aww, how sweet!
The pair have been dating for several years and look so visibly happy together just from a quick glance at each of their Instagram pages. We are so happy for the newly engaged couple and can’t wait to see how the wedding turns out!

1. Anthony accused Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting him as a teenager
According to Page Six, Anthony made headlines after he accused Kevin Spacey of making sexual advances toward him when he was a teenager. Spacey addressed Anthony's claims in a tweet and stated that he did not recall the alleged encounter but was later charged with sexual assault in December 2018.
2. Anthony has quite the acting resume
According to TV Guide, Anthony has been acting since the mid-80s and before his role in Star Trek, he starred in some cult classics such as Dazed and Confused, Adventures in Babysitting and even well known shows such as Law & Order and Psych.
3. Anthony has also acted on Broadway
According to Broadway.com, Anthony is also a Broadway phenomenon and his most recent performance was alongside the renowned Idina Menzel in the acclaimed 2014 musical If/Then. Anthony is also well known for his role as Mark Cohen in the hit musical Rent and starred in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
4. Ken works as a social researcher
According to Ken's bio on the Center for Collective Wisdom webpage, he currently works as “a social researcher, specializing in helping communities to measure and improve the quality of life of their members, and helping organizations to measure and improve the quality and impact of their services. He has more than 10 years of experience conducting primary and secondary research, focusing on a wide array of issues, including physical health, mental health, and homelessness.”
5. Ken graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz
According to Ken’s LinkedIn, he graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz (go Banana Slugs!) in 2008 with a BA in Psychology and Legal Studies. He is also fluent in Thai.
6. Ken is a certified Yoga instructor
Ken’s LinkedIn page also mentions that he is a registered yoga instructor. His page states that he became a registered yoga teacher for the Yoga Alliance in September 2015. In the same category, he was also listed as a professional coach (in training) for the company Leadership that Works which is an organization committed to maintaining social justice in communities to implement cultural change.
