Dreezy Says She Was Dating Jacquees — And She's Going To Expose Him
The rising star opens up about her life.
Instagram Are they or aren't they? Depending on who you ask, Jacquees either is a highly successful R&B singer or he's an attention whore of the worst order. And nobody knows the real truth about Jacquees better than this woman. Who is Dreezy?
Born Seandra Sledge in Chicago, IL, the rapper-songwriter who would become known as Dreezy is currently signed to Interscope Records. She first came to notice in 2014 after her remixed version of the Nicki Minaj song, "Chiraq," was released, and became even more popular than the original. Since then, she's gone on to enjoy a successful career on her own that includes rapping, writing songs, and even acting: Dreezy appeared in the Netflix film Beats, where she played Queen Cabrini.
Now, though, she's threatening to expose Jacquees, her former boyfriend. Let's look at what we know about this latest bit of drama.
1. Dreezy and Jacquees appeared on a song together.
The Smoking Section exclusively premiered Dreezy's song with Jacquees called "Love Someone," which is the fourth single off her 2019 project, Where The $ @. Check out the video below.
2. Shortly after the duo released the video, they were rumored to be dating.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Dreezy & Jacquees began dating shortly after the video for "Love Someone" premiered. In fact, according to the outlet, Jacquees was so smitten with Dreezy that he surprised her with sprinkling her entire bedroom with rose petals. He also gifted her with Chanel slides, a Chanel purse, and a puppy she named Chanel (whom she still has custody of). Aw!
3. Dreezy subsequently confirmed she and Jacquees were an item.
"When I met him, I’m like, ‘Oh, you a real person. Like, you got a mama, you got bills, you running a whole business,'” she added. “This shit not easy. I know firsthand ’cause I’m an artist. To kinda step around his world and his career and see how he handle it, I got nothing but respect for it," she told Rap Up, exclusively.
4. The couple then made their relationship Instagram official.
SOHH got a hold of a series of photos from Instagram (that were subsequently deleted) that showed Dreezy and Jacquees were "officially" an item. For what it's worth, the couple definitely looked cute.
5. But it didn't take long for the happy couple to call it quits.
On September 1, Dreezy tweeted that she was "single." Check out her confirmation below.
6. Now, Dreezy is threatening to "air out" Jacquees.
According to The Source, Dreezy took exception to Jacquees's recent Tweet that simply said "you can't make me feel bad about decisions you've made." The outlet reports that Dreezy, in response, threatened to "air out his s--t on this here app." She subsequently deleted the tweet.
