The Masked Singer Spoilers: Who Is The Rottweiler?
Fans already have their guesses in the works!
It’s the most wonderful time of year, and not because the consumer market is saturated pumpkin-spiced everything. The Masked Singer, regarded as the popular hit show on FOX, has returned with a new, even wackier roster of costumes and challenging clues that will leave us feeling completely shook.
We've got your Masked Singer spoilers right here. Who is the Rottweiler?
If you thought the first season was crazy, well, you’re in for quite a ride. This time around, producers have promised to deliver a more prestigious level of singing talent, better music choices, and bolder costumes; and from what we’ve seen thus far with the teasers, they have honored their word. Not to mention, the show has made some pivotal structural changes designed to keep us engaged.
First and foremost, to help us get to know the contestants on a deeper level, only four characters will compete each Wednesday, revving up the hype and the competition. In addition, each hour’s lowest-rated duo will battle to the death in a Smackdown competition (don’t worry, the studio audience and judges still have a say).
Fox introduced us to the new crew, and fans have already developed their theories and predictions. When it comes to the show, anything is fair game, which begets the question: who is The Rottweiler? Keep reading for all the details!
Rocking a furry six-pack and dressed to the ca-nines, The Rottweiler is a straight savage who is ready to make waves against the competition; they define themselves as a total perfectionist eager to work hard and earn our love.
There isn’t much evidence to dissect; however, it’s clear that The Rottweiler exudes a hip-hop persona in comparison to their cohorts, which is definitely noteworthy.
2. Judges’ Guesses
The Ladybug’s first opponent was The Rottweiler, and he certainly did not disappoint. In an effort to win the judges’ approval, The Rottweiler performed “Maneater” by Hall and Oates, bringing the heat with such ease on night one.
The Rottweiler revealed some subtle clues that include: he must look his best to perform best, he was bitten by a Rottweiler as a child, and he rose to fame almost overnight. The judges then discussed the evidence presented, and concluded that the celeb behind The Rottweiler could be Russell Wilson, Brian Littrell, Nick Lachey, JC Chasez, or Bruno Mars.
On the contrary, fans believe The Rottweiler is either Chris Daughtry or Brian Littrell. Hmmmmm, interesting! We’ll have to see how their opinion changes over the course of the season.
3. Other Guesses
Not surprisingly, many fans believe the celeb behind The Rottweiler is a notable hip-hop figure. The top guesses in speculation are rap artists Bow Wow, Snoop Dogg (well duh, Rottweiler and Snoop Dogg share names), and DMX, who just signed a record deal with Def Jam Records and is probably looking to reinvent his public image.
4. The Best Guess
Bow Wow stands out as the strongest possibility among fans and with good reason. Let’s unpack, shall we?
The first two clues for The Rottweiler are the following lines, "I'm here to be best in show. I'm gonna be working my tail off to earn your puppy love," and, "Roses are blue, violets are red, but do you have a clue who's behind this doggy head?" Many believe the dog reference and “puppy love” clue point to how Bow Wow began his career at an early age, and "Puppy Love" is the name of one of his hit singles.
It’s also worth mentioning that his first album is entitled, Beware of Dog, and The Rottweiler costume embodies the essence of that quite nicely. Still, we have to wonder, were these early hints created to dupe us? We shall see.
5. Twitter Guesses
Guesses on Twitter have ranged from Chris Daughtry to Zac Efron to Alan Ritchson. Guess we'll have to wait and see!
