12 Bible Verses For Christians Who Believe In The Bible & Science
Lord give us the strength to believe in what we cannot see!
Have you lost your faith in God? There are many challenges to faith: world events, science vs. the Bible, and bad things happen to good people... the list goes on and on.
The word of God speaks to believers about losing their faith and encourages Christians to stand strong when doubt starts to overtake belief.
Science wants evidence to prove belief, and that's why you have a theory before you can say something is a law. A hypothesis tests the theory, which has to be repeatable and under a controlled environment. But, who controls God?
It's hard to put him in a box and expect him to act the same with every person in a timely fashion. This is one of the clashes between science and the concept of faith as described in the Bible.
The world of science is often at odds with the world of religion. Where one lacks, the other makes up. And that can be conflicting for modern believers of God.
There is not an on/off switch for these two beliefs. Of course, there are radical Christians who deny the laws and rationale of science. They believe that God's plan is not to be interfered with or altered, at any cost.
Most Christians hold a dual belief in both faith and science. These believers find comfort in the two because they fill in the blanks of each other. What science cannot explain, faith does, and vice versa.
Often, a lot of the controversy is fabricated to fit a certain agenda. Scientists and Christians are often pinned against each other in the mainstream media.
Also, political agendas offer a breeding ground for altercations between the two groups. Republican politician Ben Carson spoke to this topic when dismissed of his opinions because of his faith.
Carson said, “I’m not going to denigrate you because of your faith, and you shouldn’t denigrate me for mine.” This quote is important to remember because it boils down each belief to different sides of the same coin.
At the end of the day, science is just as much of a belief as faith. The root of science is concrete and tangible proof. The root of faith is the belief in things you cannot see. But both require the same amount of trust in the institution. God rewards those who believe in Him, even when the weight of the world tells us not to.
So when you are struggling to make ends meet with your faith in God and the tangible world around you, look to these scriptures verses to welcome God back into your life and keep the world spinning.
