Lady Gaga's Getting Cozy With New Boyfriend Dan Horton — All The Juicy Details
He's her sound engineer.
Lady Gaga is one of the most successful musicians of the past decade but her love life has sometimes suffered in comparison. The "Shallows" singer has a train of broken engagements — and probably broken hearts — behind her, even as she has stacked up awards for her music.
Now the singer seems to have a new man in her life. She was spotted kissing sound engineer Dan Horton over brunch in Studio City recently. There's no mystery how they met: they've been working together in the studio since last year. Now the pair seems to be taking their relationship to a new level.
Who is Dan Horton and how serious are he and Gaga? Read on for all the details.
1. Music business pro
Horton is a professional sound engineer based out of Nashville. He has his own business called Audio Engineering Consulting Group that he's been running since 2000. But the real good stuff on his LinkedIn profile is the list of artists he has worked with: he has partnered up with Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello and and even old school hard rockers KISS. He's been working as a sound monitor engineer for Lady Gaga since 2018.

2. Divorce in his past
Horton is newly single according to InTouch. He was married to actress Autumn Guzzardi for five years. The pair married in 2013 after but they filed for divorce in in early 2018, citing irreconcilable differences. Guzzardi is the one who filed the paperwork in Tennessee, where they were originally married. The couple had a pre-nup that made splitting up their shared assets pretty easy, though Guzzardi allegedly got custody of their dog. Once the divorce was finalized later in 2018, Guzzardi headed to New York City to perform in an off-Broadway revival of School of Rock.
3. Not so amicable split?
Radar Online noted that Guzzardi may not be taking the news that her ex his hooking up with Lady Gaga well. Apparently, Guzzardi posted her latest acting headshot on Instagram, along with a reference her her old man's new flame. She captioned the photo "Poker Face" an unmistakable shout out to Gaga's 2008 hit song.
4. Gaga's recent split
Horton isn't the only one with a serious relationship in his not so distant past. Lady Gaga was engaged as recently as this spring. She and her agent Cristian Carino started dating in 2017, according to US Weekly. The two were engaged by that summer, though they kept that part a secret until November. But by the end of awards season, the A Star Is Born actress had collected a lot of statuettes but ditched the bling on her left hand. She showed up conspicuously solo — and ringless — to the Grammy Awards in February 2019. The split was confirmed by the end of February.

5. Love and career
Lady Gaga admitted in a 2017 documentary that her love life suffers when her career is hitting new heights, US Weekly noted that in Gaga: Five Foot Two she said: "It’s a sad day when I’m doing the Super Bowl and I’m so excited to do it, but I can’t help but realize that when I sold 10 million records, I lost Matt [Williams]. I sold 30 million, I lose Lüc [Carl],” Gaga explained. “I get the movie [A Star Is Born], I lose Taylor [Kinney]. It’s like a turnover.” That seemed to be the case in her split with Carino. "Gaga has been in such a focus on her career right now and has not even had time to address what has been happening between her and Christian, emotionally,” a source exclusively told the magazine. “She has been telling those around her, ‘Let’s stay focused.’”
Gaga racked up awards this past year.
6. The real deal?
The relationship with Dan Horton could be just what the singer needs as she comes down from the wild ride of 2019: another music business pro who gets the demands on her but doesn't need to try and share her spotlight. However, sometimes Gaga puts work before love when love is with a creative partner. She broke off her relationship with collaborator Dada Williams in because she realized that they worked together so well that she didn't want to risk that part of their relationship. US Weekly notes that she said at the time: “Dada is quite brilliant and we were crazy lovers, but I stopped it when we discovered what a strong creative connection we had. I didn’t want it just to be about careless love.”
The couple looks happy.
For now Gaga and Horton are happy to be spending time together in Hollywood. Will they go the distance? Only time will tell.
