KJ Apa And Britt Robertson Spark Dating Rumors At Comic-Con
They met on the set of another film.
Celebrity romances make the world turn and give us a look into the lives us peasants will never have. What makes things even more interesting is when co-stars date each other, even though their breakups may be inevitable. While Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart recently split after two years together, there may be hope for their co-stars.
KJ Apa, who plays Archie Andrews on Riverdale alongside Sprouse and Reinhart, may have a new girlfriend! At a Comic-Con party this weekend, he was seen kissing and cuddling with actress Britt Robertson. The two co-starred in A Dog’s Purpose back in 2017, and though they haven’t officially announced they are dating, we’re curious about the new possible leading lady in his life.
Who is Britt Robertson? Here are 5 things to know about her, her relationship with KJ Apa, and her career.
1. She comes from a big family.
Robertson is the oldest of seven children. Her mother has three children from her second marriage, and her father has three children as well with his current wife.
In a feature for Interview Magazine, Robertson opened up about her family saying, “I am the oldest of seven. Do my siblings think I’m super-cool? I wish they thought I was super-cool! A lot of them are pretty young, so they don’t really get to watch a lot of the television and films that I’ve been in. The older ones, I think, think I’m pretty cool. Not because I’m an actor, because I’m an awesome big sister.”
2. She’s an actress.
Robertson has appeared in quite a number of films and television shows. Her credits include Power Rangers Time Force, The Ghost Club, Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers, Keeping Up with the Steins, Dan in Real Life, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Swingtown, The Tenth Circle, Mother and Child, Avalon High, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Life Unexpected, The Secret Circle, The First Time, Under the Dome, Delivery Man, Ask Me Anything, White Rabbit, The Longest Ride, Tomorrowland, Mr. Church, Mother's Day, The Space Between Us, A Dog's Purpose, Girlboss, and For the People.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Robertson discussed how growing up in show business helped shape her career and her world views:
“Being an actor you’re constantly thrust into a world where you’re giving people the license to talk about you and have opinions about you and your work. That alone creates a sense of success and failure and ups and downs. I’ve definitely had that. I’ve been lucky that I’ve been doing this for a really long time that it’s all normal life to me now and I’m not greatly affected by it.
But there was a point in time where I would feel if I failed, I would never be able to recover and it was the end. Whereas now, what I’ve taken from the show is this idea that you don’t have to be perfect. You can fail and you can suck. It takes a brave person to do that and to get up every day and still give it your best shot rather than just cowering with fear.”
3. She’s dated other famous actors.
Robertson dated Teen Wolf star Dylan O’Brien from 2012 to late 2018,and before that, she was linked to Quantico’s Graham Rogers who briefly dated in late 2018. Rogers and Robertson’s fling was filled with posts on Instagram, but once they ended their relationship, all the posts were deleted.
4. She’s now linked to KJ Apa.
The two were spotted getting quite cozy at Comic-Con, holding hands during an Entertainment Weekly party. According to a source for Us Magazine, “[They were] leaning in and kissing each other.” Apa and Robertson first met on the set of A Dog’s Purpose, where they played each other’s love interest.
They’ve also been flirting with each other for a few months. Starting in April, they began to like each other’s posts on Instagram!
5. They’re co-starring in an upcoming film.
The new movie, I Still Believe, is set to premiere in March 2020. The film is based on Jeremy Camp, a singer. Apa will play Camp, while Robertson will play Melissa Henning, Camp’s wife.
