6 Preachy Zodiac Signs Who Ram Their Ideas Down Your Throat
No one likes to be talked down to.
No matter how important someone’s message is, if they come off as preachy, it’s not going to get through. In astrology, there are some preachy zodiac signs who are so passionate about their cause or their belief that they don’t trust other people will understand unless they force it upon them.
But it doesn’t help if the person doing the preaching is condescending or acting superior. When trying to instruct or educate someone, the teaching is better absorbed if the student isn’t talked down to, but is part of the conversation where their ideas and thoughts are appreciated.
Having an open and honest conversation often works better than talking at someone. Sometimes people just get on their high horse and don’t even think about how they’re coming off. They want everybody to fall in line and follow what they say, and they don’t give other people any credit at deciphering, good or bad.
Being preachy doesn’t mean someone is a bad person, just that they may get so enthusiastic they turn people off instead of getting their message across.
1. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are captivating speakers and know how to gather support for their causes. But sometimes they can get a little too invested in their cause and can come off a patronizing, emphatic, and overbearing.
Instead of allowing people to let their message sink in, Leo forces the issue and can do the opposite of what they're trying to do. Leos need to trust themselves, their message, and that people will respond to it in their own way.
2. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos don't mean to, but sometimes they can be a little superior, and that kind of attitude can get in the way of getting your message across. It also doesn't help when included in their superior and condescending attitude is judgment.
No one is going to accept your words as true if they think they're being judged and falling short. If Virgo could try to soften their approach, they might find that people will be more receptive.
3. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Sometimes when Capricorn is passionate about something they believe, it can come across as telling people what to do and what they should believe. It doesn't matter how much of a follower someone may be; most people don't like being told what to do, and it makes them want to rebel and be contrary out of spite.
If Capricorn says you need to do X, Y, or Z in a demanding way, people are just going to tune them out.
4. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians can be very philosophical and intellectual. However, there are times when they try to get their point across and don't trust they're being understood in the way they want, so they keep driving the point home until the other is practically screaming, "I get it. I get it."
They need to be able to pull back a little and give their audience and themselves some credit. The audience understands what Sagittarius is saying and will make up their own minds to whether they agree or not. They need to trust their communication skills.
5. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
When it comes to right or wrong, Libra can get a little preachy. They will bring up the cause or subject they're currently involved with, whether anyone asks or not. Then they'll go on too long, sometimes to the point where Libra has made other people uncomfortable or bored.
Libra needs to incorporate some of their natural charm and humor when trying to get converts or people to accept their message.
6. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
There are times and circumstances where one can feel condemned by Aquarius for not believing in the things they do. Aquarians are great humanitarians and usually have several causes they feel passionate about.
No matter how great Aquarius can be with people, they sometimes come off as a little arrogant and cold. However, if someone disagrees, they may attack this person instead of their argument. They need to work under the assumption that just because someone doesn't line up with their opinions, it doesn't mean they're a bad person.
