When someone is connected to their bodies, they check in with their bodies just like you’d check in with a friend or family member. They take the time to make sure their body is functioning well, and when they see that something is amiss, they check it out.
For the zodiac signs in astrology who are connected to their bodies, they pay attention to the clues and cues their body gives. They have rituals and routines you do to keep themselves in great shape and condition.
These zodiac signs are not only self-aware, but they're body-aware too. If you have the proper mind-body connection, you’re aware of the changes it goes through and you know the difference between the exhaustion you feel after a good workout and the tiredness you feel when you’re getting the flu.
You tend to take better care of your body when you have a strong connection to it. You exercise, eat right, take whatever medicine you’re supposed to take, and you take care of your mind with meditation, and making sure you get adequate sleep.
The body connection allows you to be fully aware of all your senses, and you try to use all of them as often as possible as they are one of the ways you use to explore the world.
1. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians check in with their bodies all the time. It could be when they're showering, before they go to sleep, when they wake up in the morning, or when they're exercising. They might take a moment to ask themselves how they feel.
Aquarius like to go out into nature and that helps them with their mind-body connection. Sometimes just being in a mostly silent atmosphere, like a mountain or deserted beach, helps Aquarius to be present with themselves.
2. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are good with paying attention to their needs and meeting them. This may sound easy, but it's not, and it's not being entirely self-centered either. Leos are extremely helpful, but they know they must make sure their own needs are met so their own energy isn't depleted when trying to help others.
Leos don't commit to everything; they must think it over first and consider the big picture before agreeing to something. If Leo gets stretched too thin, they're no good for anyone or anything, so they work to prevent that from happening.
3. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini makes it a practice to be aware of their thoughts. They know good thoughts lead to good things happening, and they work at getting rid of any negative self-talk, trying instead to support themselves with loving thoughts.
Geminis also move their bodies with purpose — for good health and longevity — but they don't push their bodies to extremes. They don't want to punish their bodies, but make them stronger.
4. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are very connected with their bodies and how they need to not only express themselves physically but how they need to exercise often. A typical Aries isn't going to sit around on their butt all day doing nothing; that's not good for their mental state or their body.
Aries are energetic, so they're constantly moving and testing their limits. The bottom line is that for Aries' movement, physicality and exercise are forms of self-love and not just something that's required of them to lead a healthy life.
5. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Since Taurus are very sensual, they fully understand the value of each of the five senses. They listen carefully (making sure not to blow out their eardrums), look for beauty to see, taste amazing food, enjoy touch in many different methods, and love listening to music, nature, or even conversation.
Taurus connect with their bodies when they do things they love like cooking, exploring in their own city, or getting a foot massage.
