No matter where you live, everyone loves a royal wedding. But these aren’t limited to the British; in fact, royal families all over the world have their own way of celebrating the joining of two lives in holy matrimony.

And though we’ve already experienced the fairytale wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, there’s another one that was just as beautiful.

This past weekend, German Prince Casimir Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn, 41, walked down the aisle with his bride, Alana Camille Bunte, 29.

The Prince is the second-oldest son of Prince Alexander Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and Countess Gabriela. He’s a descendant of James II and his illegitimate son, James Fitzjames, 1st Duke of Berwick.

But who is Alana Camille Bunte? Bunte is an American model who apparently posed for Vogue, and while her husband comes from a long line of German royals, she’s not a trophy wife. Bunte studied art and design at the University of the Arts and Central Saint Martin in London, and has both brains and beauty.

Four years ago, Bunte and Prince Casimir met in London, and became engaged in the summer of 2017.

The couple tied the knot at Schloss Sayn, a castle in Bendorf. Bunte arrived at the ceremony in a vintage open-top Mercedes convertible, smiling and waving to guests waiting in front. It was truly a beautiful day for the newlyweds!

But this isn’t the first wedding for the Prince. In 2005, he divorced his first wife, Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, a German philanthropist. He was also linked to Real Housewives of New York City cast member, Tinsley Mortimer, from 2009-2010, after she divorced her husband of eight years, Topper Mortimer.

Mortimer and the Prince’s relationship ended after public disputes and arguments between the two.

On a few episodes of the show High Society, which followed Mortimer’s life, the prince yelled at her in the street and was extremely controlling, according to Mortimer’s mother. Sources say Mortimer thought of Prince Casimir as her chance to get a “Grace Kelly moment.”

During her split from her ex-husband, Mortimer’s mother, Dale Mercer, said Topper told the Prince to leave Mortimer so he could patch things up with her but he refused. According to Slice, “From what viewers saw on Tinsley’s short-lived reality show, High Society, the Prince was far from charming. He was openly hostile with Tinsley, yelling at her in public, and according to her mom, was completely controlling her and even reading her emails.”

Things didn’t quite work out for the socialite, but it’s great that Bunte got her happily ever after with a literal prince!
