Why Was Mama June Arrested? New Details On Her Arrest For Crack Cocaine And Whether Her Show Will Be Cancelled As A Result

Mama June has put her family and career at risk as she has been arrested for possession of crack cocaine. She has been struggling with addiction for a while and her family is worried for her safety as well as her health. Why was Mama June arrested?
1. Run In With The Law
June Shannon, also known as Mama June, was arrested because someone called the police about a domestic violence situation between her and Geno Doak at a gas station in Alabama back in March. They were both charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. While the officers were searching the truck they found a needle and a green pill bottle containing a white substance and June admitted it was crack cocaine. Mama June has struggled with her addciton to the drug for awhile now. She is facing 10 years of jail time and a fine up to $15,000.
2. Trouble In Paradise
Mama June and Eugene "Geno" Doak have been dating for three years. During her trip to Los Angeles for Dancing With The Stars: Juniors, Doak got down on one knee and presented a promise ring to June. Despite her excitement she wanted an engagement ring and has been pressuring him for a proposal throughout her show From Not To Hot. Things began to heat up between the couple as Geno threatened to kill her during the argument that led to their arrests. Even through the chaos of their relationship they have been inseparble despite the judge's order for stay away from one another.
3. From Not To Hot Family Intervention
The arrest has raised a lot of concern for the family as Mama June is in danger of losing custody of her daughter Alana Thompson also known as Honey Boo Boo. The battle for custody has been going on for many years between her and Mike Thompson. The family organized an intervention on From Not To Hot, during which they expressed their cares and concerns for June and their desire for her to gethealthy but she has her sights set on Geno. "If this intervention doesn't work, she's mentally going to have an actual breakdown," Pumpkin shared. Fustrated, she didn't stick around and asked that the cameras stop filming. As for the show no one is yet aware of what may take place moving forward.
