Who Is Lyssa Chapman? 'Dog The Bounty Hunter's' Daughter Arrested In Hawaii For Harassing Police Officer
Yikes.
We were first introduced to her when A&E's Dog The Bounty Hunter was on the air. Now, however, "Baby Lyssa" is all grown up, and she's making the news for all the wrong reasons.
Who is Lyssa Chapman? Talk about family drama!
Lyssa Chapman, who is the daughter of Duane “Dog” Chapman and his first wife, never exactly got along with her stepmother, Beth Chapman. However, since Chapman's passing in June 2019 after losing her battle with cancer, Lyssa seemed to move on to a new feud. This time, it was with long-time family friend, Moon Angell, who Lyssa had also claimed was dating her father, after previously dating her brother!
And in January 2020, Chapman encountered even more bad news when she was arrested for harrassment in Hawaii.

Let’s look at what we know about Lyssa Chapman, her role in the latest Dog The Bounty Hunter saga, and her recent arrest.
1. In May 2019, Beth Chapman said that their feud was negatively affecting her battle with cancer.
Beth — who had been battling recurring throat cancer, which returned with a vengeance in 2018 — said that the feud with her stepdaughter was not helping her with recovery. Beth admitted that it was Lyssa who started the fight, when she didn’t acknowledge Beth on Mother’s Day 2019.
After that, the duo went on to trade barbs back and forth on social media, with Beth slamming Lyssa for being “inappropriate” and Lyssa snarling that she’s “deleting and blocking” and that she “takes no s—t” from anyone.
2. Who is Lyssa Chapman? Dog The Bounty Hunter's daughter wasn’t having it with fans who claimed she was negatively affecting her stepmother.
Since Lyssa’s very public feud with Beth had been playing out in public — and on social media, no less — fans started to weigh in with their opinions on what Lyssa (and, for that matter, Beth) should and shouldn’t have done with their comments.
When one fan snapped at Chapman for being awful to her stepmother, Lyssa clapped back with a snappy statement of her own. “Seriously you don’t know s*** so MYOB also idgaf what you think,” she snapped.
And while some fans immediately leaped to Lyssa’s defense, there were plenty more who thought that she was too far out of line for their own personal taste.
3. Beth Chapman had just been trying to focus on the positive things in her life.
Beth Chapman wasn’t going to let the feud with her stepdaughter get her down. Rather, she chose to focus on the positive things in her life — like her son, Garry Dee, whom she shares with Duane “Dog” Chapman.
In May 2019, Beth even took to Twitter to cheer herself up to have a cute exchange with her husband about Garry Dee, who himself is quickly becoming a prominent bounty hunter — just like his mom and dad before him!
4. And, to her credit, Lyssa Chapman was trying to as well.
Just like her stepmother, Lyssa Chapman had chosen to focus on the positive things in life, too. Lyssa shared that she was focusing on television shows she likes, like Discovery’s hit show Naked and Afraid.
She even revealed her favorite contestant on the show! “I’m so happy to see Dustin Duck Campbell on the show,” she said. “He’s my favorite!”
5. Beth Chapman passed away in June 2019.
Fans of the Chapman family experienced great sadness when they learned of Beth's passing last summer. After her passing, Duane Chapman revealed that the feud between his late wife and his daughter had not been nearly as bad as fans had made it out to be.
He said, “It was a mother and daughter. Girls love to tell on each other on social media... [but] there wasn’t any pity, you know, like ‘Lyssa saw she was getting sick so she had to make up with mom’... That wasn’t happening. They just ran out of stuff to say and that was it.” He also revealed that the two had made up way before his wife had passed.
Lyssa also got a tattoo just for her late stepmother, which she showed to her fans on Instagram last summer. She also shared throwback pictures of the Chapman family before their stepmother's passing.
6. Lyssa Chapman has an ongoing feud with Moon Angell.
In January 2020, it seemed as though Chapman was ready to start a new feud — this time with Moon Angell, a friend of the family who also has worked with them over the years. She and Angell struck up a war over Twitter, with some pretty cutthroat tweets, many of which have now been deleted.
In the tweets, Chapman accused Angell not only of trying to start a relationship with her father too soon after his wife's passing, but also broke the bombshell that Angell had dated one of her brothers.
In one tweet, she wrote, “If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your step- mom died what would you do ? If you went to your mothers closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do ? #ItsNotWhenOrWhyItsWho. Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a ‘friend’ to, Is the lowest scum on the planet-Which for you wasn’t that far of a step down from where you were before. God will get you MARY!!!"
7. In January 2020, Lyssa Chapman was arrested for harrassment.
Chapman just can't seem to stay out of trouble this year. Recently, she was arrested in Hawaii for harrassment and resisting arrest. However, Chapman was bailed out just 30 minutes after she was booked.
According to an officer at the Honolulu Police Department, “She posted $500 bail for harassing a police officer and a $100 bail for resisting arrest. Charges are pending her upcoming court case.”
Shortly before her arrest, Chapman had posted a tweet that seemed to imply she was in a lot of trouble. “I tried to follow my dreams but now I have multiple restraining orders,” she wrote in the post.
