Willow Palin And Husband Ricky Bailey Welcome Twin Girls — Allegedly Steal Baby Name From Sister Bristol Palin
It's the couple's first children.
Sarah Palin is quite a controversial figure, but it seems she truly loves her family. Her daughter, Bristol Palin, made headlines when she became pregnant at 17 years old, amidst John McCain choosing her mother as his vice presidential running mate.
And now, her second oldest daughter, Willow, has just become a new mom, giving Palin yet another grandchild. But what do we know about Willow’s husband? Who is Ricky Bailey?
Though not much is known about Bailey since he and Palin live very private lives, it’s no secret that he seems to enjoy the outdoors. A number of posts on Willow’s Instagram show the couple doing outdoor activities, including hiking and snowmobiling.
And along with his wife, it appears that being a new parent is just as exciting. The couple just welcomed new twin girls, and this mama is glowing!
Willow, who now goes by her married name, made a post on Instagram, revealing her newborns’ names and weights: Blaise Indi Mae and Banks Bianca Ann. Though Willow was originally due in December 2019, Christmas appears to have come a little earlier.
Back in May 2019, Willow and Ricky announced they were expecting twins with an adorable Instagram post. “And then there were four” the chalkboard read, alongside a sonogram and baby clothes.
While it was the first pregnancy for the couple, it’s been a wild few years for them. They became engaged, got married, and grew their family in just two years’ time.
Willow and Ricky became engaged in December 2017, after he popped the question at Rockefeller Center in New York City, right in front of the gigantic Christmas tree. For an Alaskan traveling to Manhattan, that was probably one of the most romantic moments of WIllow’s life!
Less than one year later, the two tied the knot in October 2018, in Talkeetna, Alaska, surrounded by friends and loved ones. And though Willow described their wedding as “the most perfect day,” it was a bit overshadowed in the media by her older brother’s legal troubles. Track Palin was charged with domestic violence, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and interfering with a report of domestic violence the same day Willow got married.
As for the twins’ name choices, Willow’s sister Bristol may not be too pleased. Back in March, a fan asked Bristol what name she would choose if she had another girl, to which she responded, “Blaise” with fire emojis. It’s also rumored that Bristol and Willow are currently estranged after their troubled brother, Track, was invited to Willow’s wedding despite his legal issues. Bristol also appeared to be absent from Willow’s delivery room.
The Palins are also dealing with additional family troubles. Her parents, Sarah and Todd, are currently going through a separation and possible divorce, though Sarah has said it’s not over yet. Luckily, despite their troubles, the two were there after Willow gave birth to meet their new grandchildren!
