Who Is Nick Penske? New Details About Bella Giannulli's Ex — And Why They Broke Up
She's Lori Loughlin's oldest daughter.
Since the college admissions bribery scandal broke in early May, there has been quite a fallout among the celebrities charged. Though Felicity Huffman pleaded guilty to the charges in mid-May, Lori Loughlin still appears to be in denial, and pleaded not guilty.
Loughlin and her husband, Massimo Giannulli, are accused of paying over $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters, Olivia and Bella, into USC, having them pose as crew team recruits. Since then, the young women have lost business opportunities and been the subject of backlash. But it also appears they have both faced heartbreak in the process.
Who is Nick Penske? Penske began dating Bella in the summer of 2018, but unfortunately, the two have ended their relationship. The news comes just a few weeks after Olivia Jade and her boyfriend, Jackson Guthy, broke up. Bella has deleted most of her pictures with her now-ex on Instagram, which is normal breakup protocol as far as we’re concerned, though Olivia still follows him.
According to a source for Us Weekly, “[They] had boyfriends and both of them broke up with them,” saying that their mother and father’s involvement in the scandal was “too much to deal with.” And who can blame them? When your girlfriend and her family are suddenly cast into the spotlight for something so awful and deceitful, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
But has Bella already moved on? On April 25, Bella was spotted out with a man in Brentwood, California. The two got juice smoothies and walked around. However, don’t get too excited because this is just one of her close male friends. Still, it’s a good thing she’s able to smile despite her heartbreak.
Bella does have more issues from the fallout of the scandal, though, like where she will attend school. USC is refusing to let her take classes, but won’t let her drop out, either. In a statement from USC provided to Us Weekly, the school said:
“USC has placed holds on the accounts of students who may be associated with the alleged admissions scheme. This prevents the students from registering for classes (until they have agreed to participate in the review of their case), withdrawing from the university, or acquiring transcripts while their cases are under review. Among many factors investigators could consider in reviewing each case are any developments in the criminal cases, including plea deals by parents. Following these case-by-case reviews, we will take the proper action related to each student’s status, up to revoking admission or expulsion.”
A source for Entertainment Tonight said that Olivia Jade was angry about attending college in the first place and that she is “really angry with her parents because she told them she did not want to go to college and she was pushed.” On the other hand, Bella is upset that she cannot attend the college any longer as she was “far more invested in college and would loved to have completed USC.”
