How Did Lauren Braxton Die? New Details On The Tragic Death Of Toni's Niece At 24
She's one of the youngest members of the Braxton family.
When an older person passes away, we think of it more as a celebration of life rather than a tragedy. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for a young person dying. With so much life ahead of them, it truly is a tragedy that they’ll never be able to live a full life, achieving their dreams and growing into a better person.
And on April 29th, the Braxton family suffered an immeasurable loss with the passing of 24-year-old Lauren Braxton, who went by the nickname Lolo. Braxton was the daughter of Michael Conrad Braxton Jr., and the niece of Toni and Tamar Braxton.
How did Lauren Braxton die?
Around noon, paramedics received a 911 call, and when they arrived on the scene, Lolo was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene, despite attempts to revive her. But according to her father in a statement to TMZ, there was no foul play involved in her passing. Lolo suffered from a heart condition and her death was related to that. Her 25th birthday would have been next week.
While most of Lolo’s family was in the spotlight, with her aunts appearing on the reality television show, Braxton Family Values and making singing careers for themselves, she mostly stayed out of the spotlight and kept her life private.
At the time of her death, Lolo was working as an order selector for DPI Specialty Foods, and before that, she was a personal assistant for her mother’s company, Soul World Entertainment.
This isn’t the first time the Braxton family has dealt with health issues. In 2008, Toni Braxton was diagnosed with coronary microvascular angina shortly before appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Braxton was also diagnosed with lupus in 2018, which her brother carries, and which her uncle died from.
The Braxton family has yet to release a formal statement regarding Lolo’s passing, but we can only imagine the pain they are experiencing. We wish them healing in their time of need.
