getty Recklessness is one of those qualities that doesn’t sound that bad, but you really don’t want it used to describe you. Reckless is thoughtless, hasty, irresponsible, and unpredictable.
If you’re reckless, you don’t give too much thought to the ramifications of your reckless behavior. And if we think about astrology and the personality traits associated with certain individuals, there are quite a few reckless zodiac signs who may become out of control.
You’ve heard the phrase reckless endangerment before. This is a crime that consists of actions that caused a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person. So, reckless behavior isn’t always spontaneous fun; it can have deadly results.
If someone has a reckless part to their personality, they may not think that what they do will hurt someone. They may just think they’re being impulsive, spontaneous, and having fun.
Reckless people are sometimes self-destructive and tend not to care if their actions cause bodily harm to themselves. It’s one thing to have little disregard for your own well-being, but when your actions cause harm to others, it’s no longer funny. Add in things like alcohol or drug use to an already reckless personality, and you have someone completely out of control.
Living in the moment is great, but be smart about it. You don’t have to overthink every action you take, but still take a moment to think about the consequences of your actions and if those actions could have negative repercussions.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
There's no surprise here that Aries can be reckless, since two of their strongest characteristics are being impulsive and impatient. They often act without giving the consequences of their actions any thought. You do have to admire their enthusiasm and energy.
Aries aren't afraid of taking risks. They're going to make the most of every minute of their life, without wasting precious moments on overthinking or over-planning.
2. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Boredom must be avoided at all costs for Gemini, and this impatience to get going onto the next new thing can cause problems. There are times when Gemini doesn't care what other people think or say about what they do; Gemini is always going to do their own thing, even if it's rash or reckless. That's just the way they are.
What they lack in consistency and patience they make up for in speaking their mind, even if it's the absolute wrong thing for them to do.
3. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are all about living in the moment, and that's why they can be reckless. Spontaneity and going with the flow are great within reason, but you can't assume that you're always going to be safe in a new country or that you'll find people who will help you if you need it.
The world can be a beautiful place, but it can also be a dangerous one. Living recklessly can be a lot of fun, but it's important never to forget to be safe at the same time.
4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
You might think that a sign that's so commanding and intelligent would weigh out every decision and action, but that's not always true with Leo. They can be extremely impatient and headstrong.
If they want something, they want it immediately and will do anything to get it. Leos can be reckless with their health and push themselves to keep going when they really need to go home. But Leos are always the last one to leave the party and the first one to suggest going to an after-hours bar.
5. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius are so unpredictable that sometimes they surprise themselves with their actions and behaviors. They like to be contrary just to stir things up, and this is where they can be reckless. What to them is good fun, to someone else can be the beginnings of a fight.
They tend to keep their emotions to themselves, so they don't realize how reckless it is when they hurt others with their words. Aquarius may be just being honest, but honesty isn't called for in every situation.
