Yet, she mostly gets attention for her marriage to actor George Clooney and her infamous friendship with Duchess Meghan Markle of Sussex. And recently, there's rumors she's expecting again. Is Amal Clooney pregnant?

Amal Clooney is often lauded for her fashion style, but she deserves more credit for her human rights activism.
1. Amal Clooney recently appeared before the United Nations for an important cause.
Amal Clooney is more than just a pretty face. As we mentioned at the top of this story, she’s a world-renowned human rights barrister. It’s a career that she had before she married George Clooney — when she went by her maiden name, Amal Alamuddin — and it’s a career that she continues to have, with pride, despite her high-profile marriage.
According to the BBC, Amal appeared before the United Nations a few days ago, flanked by Congolese gynecologist Denis Mukwege and Iraqi activist Nadia Murad, to call for the United Nations to pass a resolution that recognizes sexual violence (i.e., rape) as a war crime.
"This is your Nuremberg moment," Amal told the Security Council for the United Nations. "Your chance to stand on the right side of history."
2. She has already given birth to twins.
41-year-old Amal Clooney has already given birth to a set of twins — son Alexander and daughter Ella — just about 2 years ago.
According to Pop Culture, last year, the paparazzi snapped a photo of the elusive twins in New York. The Clooney family was staying at the Four Seasons hotel, where Amal and George were in town to accept an award from the United Nations.
While there, Amal took to the press to criticize Donald Trump for waging war on the press in the United States, claiming that his words were emboldening dictators all over the world to wage war on their own press corps.
"The chilling effect is real, and it has already been felt not only in Myanmar, but further afield. And sadly, similar incidents abound in autocratic regimes from North Korea to the Philippines to Hungary, Turkey and Brazil," she said. “The U.S. president has given such regimes a green light and labeled the press in this country the enemy of the people. And of course, two months ago, a Washington Post journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, walked into a consulate in Istanbul and was brutally tortured to death."
3. Duchess Meghan looks to her for emotional support during her own pregnancy.
According to E! News, the Duchess and the human-rights barrister have “become extremely close” since Meghan and Prince Harry of Windsor tied the knot. As a result, the Duchess has counted on Amal for emotional support as she goes through her own pregnancy.
“Amal has been a wealth of knowledge on so many things and helped Meghan settle in," a source told the outlet. "She's given her advice on celebrity and living in the public eye. They've enjoyed sharing stories of travel and humanitarian causes. They often bounce ideas off of each other. Meghan goes to Amal for many things and really trusts her instincts. Amal adores Meghan and is thrilled to see her become a mother. They will be living very close to one another and hope to see each other often. They have an understanding and common ground that has really helped Meghan and provided her with support."
