New Details On The Teen Mom Kailyn/Briana Drama
Kailyn and Briana are fighting again. What's the drama this time?
The Teen Mom reunion drama may be confined to social media this year, instead of being filmed for audiences to see.
Two stars of the MTV reality show are saying they refuse to be part of the reunion show that's set to film soonNew new York City, though it’s not entirely clear what set them off. Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus both tweeted that they won’t be going to do the show.
Fans are speculating that the reason for skipping the show is that the two stars are still feuding over DeJesus dating Lowry’s ex-husband, which led to a physical altercation between the two at the reunion show last year.
What’s the drama with Kailyn and Briana? Read on for all the details.
1. Javi
The main source of drama between the two women has been Lowry’s ex-husband Javi. The pair were married for nearly four years before splitting up in 2016. Rumor had it that Javi was cheating on Kail, with sources at the time saying “They were already having trouble, now Kailyn believes Javi cheated with a woman he [had] been hanging out with.”
They finalized their divorce and share custody of their son Lincoln.
2. Dating
In 2018, Briana announced that she was dating Javi. That immediately led to issues as they tried to celebrate Lincoln’s birthday together. Javin invited Briana along, which sparked a brutal text fight between to the two women.
When Kail finally tried to set up a meeting to talk it all out, Briana texted back “Shut the f—k up cause now I’m mad. S—k my d—k, you dumb bitch.” Kail then confessed to the camera that “I don’t think that she’s a good person.” Javi and Briana ultimately split up.
3. Reunion show
Last year, both Kailyn and Briana went to the reunion show but their attempts to get along failed miserably.
Kail confronted Briana about some social media comments she had made saying “Why don’t you tell me why you felt so comfortable commenting on what you commented on Instagram. This isn’t about Javi [Marroquin], this isn’t about the show, this isn’t about s—. I want to know why you felt like you were comfortable saying something about my kids and about Chris.”
The argument escalated after Briana tried to calm Kailyn down, and Kailyn yelled “I’m not going to relax! Because I’m going to beat your a--! You have no f——.” which led Briana to yell back, “I’m going to do what I want to do, I’m going to say what I want to say and that’s that. If you don’t f—— like then that’s it.”
The yelling eventually gave way to actual physical fighting.
4. Injuries
Later, Briana claimed that the fight had ended with her being seriously injured. She told Radar Online, “When everything started to go down and I was backstage being held back by security, I ended up falling and scraping the bone on my leg. It was so bad that I almost needed stitches.”
She claims to still have a scar from the incident.
5. Separate filming
Allegedly, this year, all the cast members were going to film their own segments and not interact. Briana claimed the fight was what led to that, saying “It was the first reunion someone got actually physically injured and I think they thought there’d be too much risk of something going down again.”
6. No show
The accommodations planned to keep feuding castmates away from one another make it sort of confusing why Briana and Kailyn both announced that they have no intention of attendingt the reunion. In a series of tweets, they each announced their plans to stay away from the show and not particiapte, but neither of them explained their decisions in any detail.
Kailyn responded to fan questions about the decision by saying, "When people aren’t being treated fairly and things are not the same for all cast members across the board, things become hostile.” Whatever that may mean, Briana must agree with it because she retweeted the statement.
7. Reconciled
Now rumor has it that everything is being worked out and MTV has created a schedule where none of the castmates will have to see each other at all. Kail and Briana have reportedly agreed to attend and the show should go on as planned.
