Is Jaclyn Hill Engaged?
Is YouTube star Jacklyn Hill engaged?
YouTube influencer and make-up mogul Jaclyn Hill has been sporting some major bling on a major finger lately and her fans are getting majorly excited about it.
The make-up artist had a seriously big diamond on her left hand in a recent video, which led fans to wonder if her boyfriend Jordan Farnum popped the question. Her subscribers had plenty of questions for the influencer after the video showing the ring aired and they weren’t shy about using social media to ask.
Hill took to Twitter to address the rumors of impending nuptials and the answer may surprise you.
Is Jaclyn Hill engaged? Keep reading for all the details.
1. YouTuber
Hill is best known for her YouTube make-up tutorials. She became a viral sensation back in 2012 when she sat down in front of the camera to recreate a Kim Kardashian look. She would later cringe a little over the video saying, “Most of the video I’m just holding my lamp as my light towards me as I’m doing my makeup. It’s so bad. My friend went behind my back and put that video on Pinterest, and it went viral, and that’s how I got all my subscribers. She did that with every video for such a long time.”
But Hill’s popularity only grew as she kept doing tutorials and her channel now has over 5 million subscribers.
2. Partnerships
Her popularity brought her opportunities to partner with major brands in the beauty space. She partnered with Morphe to create the Jaclyn Hill Favorite Palette, a product that got so much pre-sale hype that the Morphe site crashed when sales launched. Next, she went on work with brand Becca to create a new highlighter hue, Champagne Pop.
Sephora reported they sold 25,000 units in the first twenty minutes it was available. She even has a new line of brushes out through Morphe.
3. Her own line
Hill now is planning her own line of cosmetics called Jacklyn Hill Cosmetics. In 2016, she told WWD that “Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics is a thing, and it’s been a thing for three years. It’s just me and my mom. We have no investors, we have no one controlling, we have no one telling us what to do, so that’s why it’s taken three years. I’m hoping that is going to be my end destination.” The brand is still in development but it may be available as soon as this year.
4. Marriage
While Hill’s professional life took her straight to the top, her personal life has been bumpier. She married husband John Hill in 2009 when she was just 19 years old. Her marriage to the musician lasted nine years, but ultimately they separated. Jon postedInstagramgram at the time explaining “After nearly nine years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We were very young and have since both changed and grown apart.”
Jaclyn would say that they made great friends but no great life partners.
5. Mental health advocate
In addition to helping people work on outer beauty Hill has become an outspoken advocate for taking care of mental health. She has told fans that she deals with anxiety and depression and defending other influencers who have struggle with mental health problems, saying "Depression & anxiety is not a choice. It doesn't matter how 'perfect' your life is… you can still be miserable due to it."
6. New love
These days Jaclyn is seen snuggled up to new boyfriend Jordan Farnum, a musician. She’s post multiple Instagram posts of them looking very lovey. In one post she says "I have no words for this caption. Im just so blessed to know this guy."
All the social media displays of affection mean it’s no surprise that fans went nuts when they spotter her wearing a big diamond on her engagement finger in a recent video. Questions about a proposal started tolling in on Twitter and Jacly quickly shut them down saying ““This is me loving myself!!! Feels good”
For now it seems like Jaclyn is supplying her own bling. But she and Jordan are an adorable pair and maybe there will be wedding bells for the two of them sometime in the future.
