Who Is Taylor Selfridge? New Details About Teen Mom OG Cory Wharton's New Girlfriend

Instagram Teen Mom OG's Cory Wharton has a new girlfriend and it isn't his baby mama Cheyenne Floyd. Wait, what? The two had an are-they or aren't-they sort of storyline throughout the first season of the MTV reality show and fans really thought they were going to get back together. Fans have been loving the idea of Cory and Cheyenne together ever since they met while filming The Challenge: Rivals III and had been hanging their hopes on the two parents making things work. But that isn't the case as Cory went IG official on February 18th with his new (old) girlfriend Taylor Selfridge, who he met during season one of MTV's Ex on the Beach. Who is Taylor Selfridge?
1. They've dated before
This isn't new territory for Cory, Taylor, or, for that matter Cheyenne Floyd. Cory and Taylor have dated before. After the two met on season one of Ex on the Beach, Cory and Taylor gave a relationship a try in the spring of 2018.That fling was very short-lived. Cory confirmed that he and Taylor are dating again to Us Weekly, after the two took to their Instagram stories to reveal that they were taking a "baecation" to Mexico. Cory and Taylor got back together about a month ago.
2. Fans aren't happy
When news of Cory and Taylor getting back together became public fans immediately started posting on his social media accounts begging him to get together with Cheyenne Floyd. Floyd is, of course, the mother of his daughter Ryder. They got together and conceived Ryder after the filming of The Challenge: Rivals III. The two were never officially a couple but that hasn't stopped fans from pulling for them to be together ever since. Cory and Cheyenne had a great co-parenting relationship, leading people to think they'd be great together.
3. Cheyenne has their back
When Cory's haters came out angry about him getting back together with Taylor, Cheyenne (who is, by the way, in a new relationship of her own) stood up for him. She took to her IG Live to say: “All the bashing of him and his girlfriend…you have to chill. Regardless, at the end of the day, Cory is a great father to Ryder and that’s all that matters. We are still friends. We will always be family.”
4. Taylor makes Cory happy
Cory addressed the haters on his IG Live, saying:“Cheyenne’s a great person, a fabulous mother. I will always have some type of love for Cheyenne. But I’m not in love with Cheyenne. I’m sorry to tell you guys. I wish you guys could live my life for me, but you can’t. Taylor is the person that makes me happy.”
5. Why the hate for Taylor?
Before Taylor appeared on MTV's Ex on the Beach, where she met Cory, she was on season five of Are You The One? She is the person who took home the $1 million prize that season. She was back for season six of Are You The One? as the ex-girlfriend of contestant Joe Torgeson. That is where things went wrong for Taylor's public perception. She began terrorizing every single one of Joe's potential matches and it was revealed that she was dating Joe while she was on the previous season of the show.
