The rumors about Lady Gaga — real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta — and Bradley Cooper are non-stop. Not only would they make an adorable couple, much like their A Star Is Born characters, but it would make for one of the greatest, real-life love stories of the century.

1. Lady Gaga recently broke off her engagement.
Only a few days before she's supposed to walk the red carpet for the Academy Awards for A Star is Born, she announced that she broke off her engagement with fiancé Christian Carino.
Gaga's representative told PEOPLE that she and the 50-year-old talent agent ended things "a bit ago." E! News first reported that they had potentially split last week after he didn't attend the 2019 Grammy awards on Feb. 10 where she performed "Shallow."
"It just didn't work out," the representative said. "Relationships sometimes end. There's no long dramatic story."
Fans also noticed that she wasn't wearing her $400K engagement ring and that she didn't thank him in her acceptance speech before best pop duo/group performance. They had dated for two years after she ended her five-year relationship with Taylor Kinney.
"She wasn’t expecting to find love with Christian so quickly,” a source told PEOPLE in October, “but things just became serious very fast. Christian is a good, grounding force and understands her career.”
2. She got a new tattoo — and people think it's about Bradley.
Rather than spend Valentine's Day with Carino — or even post a photo with him — Gaga shared that she got a new tattoo. And fans are already speculating the meaning behind it. Mostly because it's about A Star Is Born.
“Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose” by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose,” she captioned the photo of her new ink. "La Vie en Rose" is also the song that Lady Gaga was singing at a 2016 cancer benefit when Bradley saw her and decided she'd make the perfect Ally.

She also got another tattoo, four music notes on her arm. And while they read G-A-G-A in treble clef, they also spell out B-C-B-C in bass clef. And fans are here for it.
“If you play them together on the piano it’s a perfect harmony," one fan wrote. Double Swoon.
3. Bradley joined Gaga on stage during a recent show.
Earlier this year, Cooper joined Gaga on stage during one of her show's in Las Vegas to sing "Shallow" — and fans were noticing all of the chemistry. Their on-stage performance only fueled rumors of their secret romance.
"Just watched Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper performing in Las Vegas," one fan tweeted. "and: 1. She's off her nut and 2. She's violently in love with Bradley Cooper."
But she introduced him as a friend.
"So a really good friend of mine... I don't know if you know him, but his name is Bradley," she told the audience. "He made that movie, um, A Star Is Born. Yo Bradley, you wanna come up and do this one?"
4. But Bradley is still dating Irina Shayk.
Of course, fans haven't forgotten that Bradley is still very much in a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk. They've been together for four years and have one young daughter together; a 1-year-old named Lea.
However, there have been some reports that Bradley is "miserable" in the relationship. Shayk squashed those rumors recently when explained why she didn't talk much about Bradley and their daughter in an interview with Glamour UK.
“I have a lot of friends who share a lot of their personal life on Instagram or social media, very publicly," she said. "I admire it and I think it’s great, but I think it’s all about personal choice. Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet. That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family, and I feel happy with it.”
5. And Gaga once said she would never date Bradley.
Let us not forget that in 2016 — right around the time A Star Is Born was filming — Howard Stern asked Gaga if she could ever date Bradley. Here is her response:
