Kylie Jenner has a new puppy — but where are her other dogs?
Instagram Before there was Stormi, there was Normie. Kylie Jenner, make-up mogul, reality star, and mom was a dog mom before she had a human baby. Fans of the show remember Kylie adding a furry friend to her entourage way back in 2014. Italian Greyhound Norman was just a pup back then, and Kylie carried him around all the time. Later, she added another Italian Greyhound to the mix, bringing home Bambi and even started an Instagram account for fans to follow the antics of the posh pooches.
But lately, fans have noticed that Normie and Bambi don’t pop up on the star’s social media feed as often anymore. Now, there’s news that Kylie has a brand new dog that she’s calling Wesley. Did another pup steal her heart? Kylie says no and explains everything.

1. Kylie is a long-time dog lover.
Kylie has been a dog lover for a very long time. Hardcore Kardashian fans might remember that Kendall and Kylie begged for a little white Maltese puppy in an early season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The youngest girls wanted their very own pet and mom Kris helped them bring home Bella, and sweet little pup. They kept her hidden from their dad (known then as Bruce but now called Caitlyn) for as long as they could. Eventually, Bella left the Jenner family to go live with a family friend.
2. One of her family dogs died when she was younger.
When Kylie was younger, the family had a pair of dogs named Dolce and Gabbana. Gabbana is still around; she lives with Khloe now and makes occasional appearances on the show. Dolce was killed in a run-in with a coyote near their Calabasas home. Kylie says she named one of her first lip kits Dolce as a tribute to her pooch.
3. She started adopting pets once she got her own place.
Once Kylie had her own home, she started adding pets to it. Norman was her first Italian Greyhound, though he was quickly joined by a second Greyhound called Bambi. The two dogs shared an Instagram account for a long time, and Kylie kept fans apprised of all the dodgy doings in her house with super cute videos and pics. By one count, she has five additional other dogs along with the Italian Greyhounds.
4. She has pets other than dogs.
Kylie doesn’t confine her animal love to just dogs, however. She also has a pet bunny named Bruce (possibly in tribute to the name her dad used to go by). People magazine also reports that Kylie also has a chicken as part of her menagerie.
5. One of her dogs gave birth.
In 2016, Bambi unexpectedly delivered two puppies. She gave birth right before the 2016 American Music Awards. Kylie opted to stay home with the new puppy mom and babies instead of hitting the red carpet that night.
6. Her dogs live a life of luxury.
If you guessed that Jenner pets live a glam life, you would be entirely correct. In 2018, Kylie posted a Snapchat of construction for a fully climate-controlled dog house for her pups. The quick Snapchat showed a small house with a porch out front, and Kylie remarked, “It’s almost done. They’re going to have their own little … it’s like a guest house."
7. She just got a new puppy.
This week, Kylie added yet another furry friend to the family, a rescued puppy named Wesley. Kylie brought home a tiny little black and tan puppy and told fans that she thinks he’s a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix. She posted multiple Instagram stories of the puppy frolicking around her house.
8. And some of her fans were not happy.
The new puppy raised some eyebrows among Kylie’s fans and followers. A Twitter follower asked point blank what had happened to Norman. It’s not an unreasonable question since the Kar-Jenners have a history of adopting and then rehoming pets. But Kylie laid the fan’s fears to rest, saying Norman is still part of the family, he’s just not on social media as much.
She tweeted back “I don’t post my dogs as much but that doesn’t mean they aren’t very much a part of my life still.”
