Who Is Quentin Tarantino's Wife, Daniella Pick? Couple Gives Birth To First Child
Quentin Tarantino is a dad!
Congratulations are in order for Quentin Tarantino and his wife Daniella Pick. This weekend, the happy couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
But who is Quentin Tarantino's wife, Daniella Pick? The couple tied the knot in an intimate L.A. ceremony in 2018 after getting engaged in June 2017. The bride was stunning in a gorgeous strapless gown, complete with a veil and tiara, while Tarantino went for a classic black suit.
The writer-director had just wrapped filming on his then-upcoming film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which was released in July 2019. He and his bride celebrated their nuptials at a larger gathering following their intimate wedding ceremony.
The wedding marked Tarantino's first marriage and the baby is also his first child.
Here's everything you need to know about the woman who made Tarantino a married family man.
1. Who is Quentin Tarantin's wife, Daniella Pick? She's a singer and model.
Pick launched her singing career with her sister back in the early 2000s, when the two first attracted attention for performing the song "Hello Hello" during a qualifying round of a national Eurovision contest in 2005. She has since gone on to pursue a solo career, releasing the pop singles "More or Less" and "Love Me."
The Israeli beauty is also a professional model, and has appeared on the covers of Israeli fashion mags like Go Style and Yedioth.
2. Her dad is a famous singer.
Pick is the daughter of Israeli singer and songwriter, Tzvika Pick, who was named “Israel’s Male Singer of the Year” in the 1970s. He also performed in the Hebrew version of the Broadway musical Hair.
3. Pick and Tarantino met in 2009.
The two met back in 2009 when Tarantino was promoting the film Inglourious Basterds in Israel. The couple began an on-again-off-again relationship lasting for the next several years, despite Tarantino being 20 years older than Pick.
4. And they became engaged in 2017.
Tarantino popped the question in June 2017. In September of that year, the couple celebrated their upcoming nuptials with an engagement party/unofficial Pulp Fiction cast reunion attended by Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Uma Thurman. What a way to celebrate!
5. Pick got Tarantino to settle down.
Their 2018 nuptials marked Tarantino's first marriage. Back in 2009, the high-powered director explained his longtime bachelorhood, revealing he was too busy with work to consider marriage.
"Here’s the thing. When I’m doing a movie, I’m not doing anything else. It’s all about the movie. I don’t have a wife. I don’t have a kid. Nothing can get in my way. All your concerns, all the mundane things, family, any of that, it just—pfft—disappears. Goes away. It’s mist. It’s just nothing but the mountain, every single solitary day. I’m not saying that I’ll never get married or have a kid before I’m 60. But I’ve made a choice, so far, to go on this road alone. Because this is my time. This is my time to make movies,” he said at the time.
Pick seems to have convinced the director to tame his workaholic tendencies and finally retire his bachelorhood. Tarantino proposed to Pick shortly after announcing his impending retirement last year.
6. In February 2020, the couple welcomed their first child.
It looks like things have really changed for Tarantino. Not only has he settled down, but he now has started a family with Pick.
Back in August 2019, Tarantino's representatives announced that Pick was pregnant with the couple's first child.
And this weekend, representatives for the director revealed that he and Pick just welcomed a baby boy! “Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are happy to announce the birth of their first child. A baby boy born Feb. 22.”
Though there's no word yet on the name of their newborn, congratulations are in order for the happy couple and their new family!
