Who Is Charles Melton? New Details On Camila Mendes' Boyfriend

Instagram Camila Mendez and Charles Melton have been an official couple since October, and their honeymoon phase appears to still be in full swing!
Since confirming their relationship via Instagram early last month, the Riverdale co-stars continue to earn #relationshipgoals status with their super-cute offscreen behavior. On the red carpet at Sunday's People's Choice Awards, fans learned that Melton, 27, has an adorable (if a little confusing?) nickname for his co-star girlfriend, 24. "I am Baby Dragon," Mendes confirmed when asked about the nickname during an interview with Busy Phillips on Monday's Busy Tonight.
Proving she's earned her fiery nickname, Mendes recently clapped back at a fan who shared their unsolicited opinion about the co-stars' romance on Instagram. “I feel silly responding to this, but I also feel the impulse to tell you that you’re wrong. I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life,” she responded to the fan who said she "looked happier" with her ex, Victor Houston, from whom she split in August.

1. Reggie Mantle
Melton plays Riverdale High School football captain Reggie Mantle on the hit CW show, joining the cast in a recurring role in season 2. As of season 3, Melton has become a series regular.

While Riverdale was Melton's first big break, he's previously made small appearances in Glee and American Horror Story: Hotel. He's also appeared in various shorts and web films, most notably YouTube Red'sThe Thinning, released in 2016.

Melton was recently cast as the lead in the upcoming film The Sun Is Also A Star, to be released in 2019. The film is based on the young adult novel of the same name by Jamaican-American author Nicola Yoon.
