I like being able to cook a big meal and sit down for a nice family dinner or listen to Christmas music as I decorate the Christmas tree. But even I can see how someone might totally detest holidays.
The holiday season can sometimes force you to be in a bad mood depending on your situation. For some, they might not have a strong connection to their family, so the holiday season brings about negative thoughts and feelings about their loved ones.
For others, they just might not enjoy the holiday season because it reaffirms that they don’t believe in certain traditions.
Whatever the reason might be, it still stands that holidays just aren’t for everyone, and there is nothing wrong with that. However, it is important to recognize and understand why people dislike the holiday season.
This way you already know the mood they will be in and won’t get your feelings hurt when they seem uninterested in being around and engaging in holiday-based activities.
Depending on your zodiac sign you either love or hate holidays based on what you value and what your overall likes and dislikes are as a person.
Horoscope signs who put a big emphasis on family such as Cancers and Capricorns love being able to spend additional time with family, exchanging gifts and listening to fun holiday music. They can think of nothing better than creating memories with the people they care for the most.
Other Sun signs such as Scorpios or Libras could live perfectly fine without the holiday season. They dislike being forced to spend time with people they don’t necessarily get along with and being put in situations that could be considered messy.

1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Because an Aries enjoys working so much, they dislike anything that results in delays or inactivity. This especially includes the holiday season when they are forced to take time off.
They would much rather work through the holidays and put their talents to use instead of sitting around. An Aries will become moody and ruin the holiday spirit for everyone around them since it is made clear that they would rather be elsewhere.
2. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are overly critical of themselves and others. When surrounded by family for holidays they can't help but to judge everyone. Instead of being excited to give and receive gifts, they find themselves constantly worrying about if their gifts will be good enough.
They also enjoy healthy eating habits, so it is hard for them to watch their loved ones stuff their faces with sweets and other junk food. Holidays just stress them out even more than normal so they'd rather avoid them at all cost.
3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Holidays just bring about too much noise for a Libra to handle. Everyone is talking over each other at the dinner table and a Libra can't find the peace and harmony they typically enjoy in their daily lives.
The holiday season puts them in a sticky situation as they hate injustice of any sort but also hate confrontation. When so many people are gathered in one place it is hard to have people not get rowdy. A Libra dislikes the atmosphere holidays can create.
4. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios truly dislike dishonesty and secrets. During the holiday season they are bound to find out that someone has been lying to them for their entire life or that someone has been keeping a life altering secret.
They will be hurt, and once let down there is no return. A Scorpio will immediately want to leave and never speak to those family members who betrayed them again. This will ruin what was supposed to be a fun family bonding time for everyone.
5. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
An Aquarius genuinely enjoys being alone. They would prefer to spend time by themselves doing things they love than to be forced into boring situations with people they don't necessarily like.
When holiday season comes around, they have no choice but to be around family members that they might have no intellectual connection with, automatically making them uninterested in staying around. They can't help but to break ties with people who aren't creative or intellectual, even if they are relatives.
