Of course, there are those that know him better as Jennifer Lopez’s boyfriend. The two began seeing each other in February 2017. Over a year later, there’s now speculation that A-Rod and Jennifer Lopez are engaged.
Both stars have been married before — Lopez three times and A-Rod one. We all know about Lopez's ex-husband Marc Anthony, but who is A-Rod's ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis?
The two reportedly met in a gym and dated on-and-off for six years until they finally tied the knot in 2002. The marriage caused a controversy within her family not because of his fame, but because he is not Greek; that was important especially important to Scurtis' grandfather, a Greek Orthodox priest that wed them. Regardless, the couple spent another six years together as husband and wife.

1. Did A-Rod cheat on Scurtis with Madonna?
The media took notice of A-Rod spending a lot of time with the 80s icon than ever anticipated shortly before Scurtis filed for divorce. His wife had already left him, but things weren’t official yet. Madonna and A-Rod happened to have one common connection, aside from stardom: their manager, Guy Orseary.
Madonna vehemently denied having a romantic affair with the Yankees star, since she was married to Guy Ritchie … but Scurtis and Rodriguez split up the same year. Hm.
Scurtis officially filed for divorce in July 2008, claiming infidelity. Her divorce claim requested to keep their two girls as the primary residential parent. In relation to their children, she asked to keep their $12 million home and private school tuition.
2. A-Rod and Scurtis have two kids together.
While they were together, A-Rod and Scurtis had two kids, both girls. Their daughters are now 10 and 13.
Earlier in 2018, A-Rod explained to Entertainment Tonight why it's so important for him to be there for his girls even though he and Scurtis are no longer together. "Ever since he left me and my family, I always thought, I never want to do that. I want to be a great father, a present father," A-Rod said. Now that he has retired from playing, Rodriguez said being an all-star father is of utmost importance to him.
3. A-Rod's ex-wife may not like Jennifer Lopez
In July 2018, NY Daily News reported that Scurtis had made "disparaging remarks" against J-Lo. While it's not clear exactly what those comments were, Rodriguez's lawyer called the alleged remarks "egregious."
Further, Gossip Cop reported that a source claimed Scurtis was "furious" about A-Rod's "engagement" to J-Lo — an engagement that was not confirmed at that time (and still hasn't been). Gossip Cop claimed the National Enquirer had a source who claimed Scurtis "wants to bury him in any way she can and remind the world of what he’s really like.” Gossip Cop dispelled those rumors.
4. A-Rod and Scurtis are in a child and spousal support battle
According to TMZ, A-Rod is trying to lower the monthly price tag of his spousal and child support payments to Scurtis claiming she already has more than enough money in the bank. TMZ reported that he’s paying Scurtis $115,000 a month in child support. His spousal support payments were reportedly supposed to be adjusted after he retired from the Yankees two years ago. A-Rod also claimed Scurtis is refusing to work despite having a master's degree in psychology.
A-Rod has tried to negotiate paying $20K a month at most for the kids. Scurtis wants at least $50K.
5. Scurtis is reportedly seeing someone else
Scurtis is apparently not single either. She's reportedly seeing real estate investor Laszlo Fazekas, maybe even since as far back as 2009. According to A-Rod's claim, Scurtis is engaged and also has a child with someone else.
