Being one of the quick-witted zodiac signs means that you don’t have to ruminate before you act, and if astrology has taught us anything, it's that we can identify personality traits like this with the help of the stars.
It’s not that quick-witted people don’t give things any thought, it’s that their thinking process moves quickly and efficiently. They don’t have time to get discouraged or think of all the reasons why they can’t do something; instead, they do what they can do.
You also don’t spend a lot of time overanalyzing something; if you did, the moment would pass. If you’ve ever taken too long on a snappy comeback, you know the embarrassment when the moment has passed and you finally come up with something funny to say, but it lands like a bag of cement.
Quick-witted people are always aware of what’s happening around them and are on the alert, even when it comes to wordplay. They’re clever, perceptive, and have a great understanding of the bigger picture.

1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
This is one of those instances where being impulsive is a good thing because it helps Aries think on their feet and act quickly to solve a problem or handle a difficult situation. The bottom line is that Aries are very clever and have the necessary skills to think on their feet.
They're not going to take so long deciding on the best course of action that by the time they've decided, the situation has been solved for better or worse. Aries also tend not to censor their thoughts before speaking, so sometimes the things they say are harsh and other times they're very witty and hilarious.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Two things you should know about a Sagittarius: they usually have a very well-developed sense of humor and they have the ability to cope in any new situation. Sagittarius are quick-witted because if they weren't they wouldn't have the travel adventures they have.
They're good at improvising when they don't have something that's needed, and their problem-solving ability is legendary. Sagittarius are the ones you want to travel with because they can handle almost anything. Plus, they'll keep you entertained while they jerry-rig shelter when you're caught unawares by a sudden storm.
3. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
The Gemini mind works incredibly fast. They can assess a situation and come up with a remedy for a problem in seconds. You want Gemini at a social event because they're the ones who will instinctively know when there's a problem and how to solve it.
If no one is mingling and the caterer hasn't shown up, Gemini will connect people together and start conversations, all while coming up with a plan on how to feed 100 hungry guests.
4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras may be indecisive, but they're great with the one-liners, witty banter, and thinking on their feet. You don't even have to point out a problem to them because they will instinctively know when one arises, and they'll know how to deal with it.
They can handle the most volatile situations without breaking into a sweat. Libras are one of the most perceptive signs around and it's their ability to look at the big picture and see the trouble spots that make them quick on the draw.
5. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
There's something about Leo energy that makes them alert. They're able to defuse tense situations with their clever words or with the appropriate action. They're also aware enough to know when they need to call in for back up.
Leos aren't too proud to ask for help when they need it. They know exactly how to get things done by other people. Leos have an inner confidence that allows them to take chances without having to overthink about them, and it's not unusual for a Leo to save the day.
6. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Of course, Aquarius are too brilliant and creative not to be. If an Aquarius is in a problematic situation, they're already looking for ways to solve the problem. An Aquarius' mind is already running at a speed faster than most everybody else, so it's not surprising they have a very quick wit.
They also seem to have a natural BS meter which allows them to cut through the crap and get things down. They're spontaneous without being careless and are flexible enough to go where things take them, rather than stay rigidly to a plan.
