Who Is Erin Slaver? 4 Details About Chris Carmack's New Wife
Congrats to the newlyweds!
Chris Carmack, who plays “Linc” on Grey’s Anatomy, might be making moves on all the women at Grey Sloan Memorial, but the actor is a newly married man.
Over the weekend, the Grey's Anatomy actor tied the knot with his long-time fiancé and now wife, Erin Slaver, who got engaged in 2016.
Who is Chris Carmack’s wife Erin Slaver?
Cormack and Slaver got married on October 19, 2018. Carmack shared a photo on Instagram of he and his new wife on their wedding day:
While many of us are familiar with Carmack thanks to his many television and film roles (and, of course, that unforgettable face), it turns out he’s not the only performer in the family.
And don’t worry — it seems Slaver doesn’t mind her now-husband’s Casanova ways (or at least... attempts) on Grey’s. “Can’t wait to check out my fiancé’s game tomorrow night on the season premiere of Grey’s,” she wrote on an Instagram post promoting her man’s new role.
Here’s what we know about Erin Slaver.
1. Carmack and Slaver met on the set of Nashville
Before playing a stud of a doctor on Grey’s, Carmack played a gay country musician on Nashville. According to E! Online, that’s where Carmack and Slaver first met after Slaver was cast as a backup singer on the show. Slaver appeared in Seasons 1 and 2, which began airing in 2012. Slaver first shared a photo of she and Carmack on Instagram in September 2014.
2. Carmack proposed to Slaver in 2016
Carmack popped the question in March of 2016, roughly four years after the pair likely first met. “Wow, thanks everyone for all the love! I'm overwhelmed with happiness from your kind thoughts!” Slaver tweeted after sharing the news of their engagement on Instagram.
On his proposal, Carmack told People, “I proposed on a rooftop at a hotel in New York. I hired a little gypsy jazz quartet to play some of our favorite songs. I even fooled her into dressing up so we could take nice pictures.”
3. They have a daughter together
Carmack and Slaver’s daughter was born in September 2016, a few months after announcing their engagement. According to an Instagram post Slaver shared after giving birth, Slaver delivered naturally with Carmack by her side. “In my life, I never imagined I’d experience something so beautiful,” she captioned the post. “We are completely in love with our 2 day old, sweet baby girl.”
4. Slaver is extremely talented
While shows like Nashville, The O.C., and Grey’s Anatomy have thrust Carmack into the spotlight, Slaver isn’t a stranger to the stage either. According to her website, Slaver is a fiddler, vocalist, songwriter, violinist, and actress. Her website states that “she was concertmaster for 3 years with the Stony Brook University Orchestra, as well as for the final performance of National Orchestral Institute’s 2009 summer season.”
No big deal.
Most recently, Slaver appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with her band JD & The Straight Shot in which she plays the violin.
