1. "Failed miserably"

The Smith family show Red Table Talks got emotional when Will discussed a time he and Jada were struggling in their marriage with his daughter Willow. He said, “There was a period where mommy woke up and cried 45 days straight, I started keeping a diary. It was every morning. I think that’s the worst I’ve ever felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably.”

3. Don't call them married

Will Smith appeared on the Tidal podcast Rap Radar and said that he and Jada don't say they are married anymore. He went on to explain,"We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life. There's no deal breakers. There's nothing she could do — ever. Nothing [...] would break our relationship. She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space."

4. Never getting divorced

Jada Pinkett Smith addressed the rumors on the radio show Sway in the Morning, saying, "We are family. That's never going down. We are family. Take out all that whole marriage, relationship crap, at the end of the day, Will and I are family. I am going to hold him down, doesn't matter. All that relationship [stuff] and what people think ideas of a husband, partner and all that, man, whatever. At the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period."

5. This isn't the first time

Back in 2015, the rumors of Will and Jada's marriage hit a fever pitch and Will took to Facebook to address them, writing: “Under normal circumstances, I don’t usually respond to foolishness (Because it’s contagious). But, so many people have extended me their ‘deepest condolences’ that I figured — ‘What the hell… I can be foolish, too!’ So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are… NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

On Red Table Talks, Willow Smith opens up about her demons as well. She used to engage in self-harm and explained that time in her life by saying,  "I never talk about it because it was such a short weird point in my life. But you have to pull yourself out of it." In the same interview, Jada admitted that she had no idea what Willow was going through.
