The L.A. County Coroner’s Office spokeswoman told PEOPLE that the actor died of sequelae of chronic ethanol (alcohol) over-consumption. He also suffered blunt force head trauma and coronary artery atherosclerosis, which was concluded to be from a drunken fall.
His death was ruled an accident.
