getty No matter how much you may strive to be normal and fit in, you have certain personality traits and idiosyncrasies that make you different from other people. In astrology, we all have our own quirks and that’s what makes everybody interesting. We are all characters in our own stories.
Every single one of the zodiac signs has their own quirky qualities, from bizarre food issues to needing the television on at night when they sleep. The quirky zodiac signs are no strangers to odd habits like this.
The quirks that we have can come from when we were born, our environment growing up, what we witnessed other people doing, or they could have just developed out of nowhere. The human brain is complex and it’s impossible to figure out all of its mysteries.
The truth is, we’re all quirky, we just don’t always reveal our strange and unique ways to everyone we meet. We might be embarrassed by the fact that we bite our lips when we’re petting our cats or that we have to squeeze the toothpaste tube from the bottom up. Some quirks can be more serious, especially if they’re more like compulsions, like someone with OCD who has to turn off the light ten times in a row, or has to make a certain noise to deal with anxiety.
Our quirks are endearing and they’re what make us who we are. As long as these quirks and behaviors aren’t hurting anyone, then why not make peace with them? Embrace them. They’re part of you and they make you distinctive. So, here’s the quirkiest thing about each of the zodiac signs.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
One of the quirky things about Aries is that they can be messy. It's an organized mess and they can find everything, but still, Aries can be sloppy. Also, if they don't have an outlet for all the energy they have, they'll get fidgety. They might tear at napkins, tap their foot, or just move around in the chair.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are quirky in the way they have to touch everything. They're very tactile but sometimes it's not appropriate and they do it anyway. Taurus also tend to have strange food obsessions. It's not just that they like certain foods over other foods, but if they have a craving for something, they absolutely must have it and it's not always something readily found in their refrigerator.
Plus, they always come prepared. If they're going on a hike, they have food; if they're going on a car trip, you can count on them to bring snacks; if it's a party, they may bring some dessert or wine in case there's a shortage.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini's brains work at lightning fast speeds so that even Gemini has trouble keeping up. It's been said that they have two very distinct sides of the personality, and this may be true, but what could also be true is that there are times when they have to process everything they're thinking and that may make them come off as radically different than their usual outgoing self.
Geminis are the ones in high school who belonged to a bunch of cliques because of their ability to showcase different parts of their personality.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are quirky in how deeply they feel things. They're die-hard romantics and when things don't go the fairy-tale way, they'll take it personally as if the Universe was out to get them.
Music is a major part of the Cancer personality. If they love an artist when they're young, they'll probably love them forever. Cancers are very loyal, even to people they don't know, but if they feel a musician or a singer has touched their soul, it will take something huge to abandon them.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
The quirkiest thing about Leos is their love of attention and the lengths they'll go to get it. Having a crowded restaurant sing happy birthday might embarrass some people, but not a Leo.
The Leo might stand, and they will probably be wearing something that makes them stand out. If they're at a show, don't be surprised if they jump on the stage and sing and dance along with the band. What's humiliating to some people is fun for a Leo.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are quirky in their focus on the small details of something. Virgos aren't the sign who would just let things work out on their own. If they are a bank teller and their drawer doesn't balance, they will stay until every penny is accounted for.
Virgos also tend to not give up. If they fail at something, they will do it repeatedly until they master it. This doggedness also applies to them in the bedroom, because they won't give up until their partner is satisfied.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are quirky in their comic ability. Libras are funny and even have a great sense of humor about themselves. They're able to poke fun at themselves without seeming like a sad clown. They're smart and can be vulnerable which makes their humor universal.
They're well-versed in many different types of comedy including physical comedy, sketch, improv, and stand-out. They can write it, perform it, and use as a way to make others feel better in a tense situation.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios may seem tough, but they're mush on the inside. They couldn't resist a baby-animal video if they tried, and they're the people who would stop their car on the freeway to rescue a dog. They're good people.
Scorpios are also quirky in the way that they love to solve a mystery. If a Scorpio has questions, there's not a lot that will stop them from getting answers. They make great detectives because of their intelligence and focus.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius have a fear of missing out, only their FOMO should be changed to Fear of Missing Out on the World. A Sagittarius' love of travel seems to be part of their DNA. If they have a home-base, then they need several scheduled trips throughout the year. They don't want an overview of a country or a town, they want to experience everything and will feel cheated if they don't.
But there some places you have to return to in order to experience everything it has to offer which causes a dilemma for Sagittarius. Do they only go to places they've never been and make peace with the places they've only had a small sampling of what it had to offer? Or do they make sure they're finished with a place before they move on?
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are quirky in the way they never seem to age. They look young and are always able to do things that older people are unable to do. What's their secret for staying forever youthful? Capricorns seem to skirt the natural process of aging.
The only clue that there is to a Capricorn's age is their awkwardness at times, but that's more endearing than embarrassing. If only they could package the secret to their never-aging, they'd have that financial security that they crave.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius are quirky in their body temps and they tend to be the opposite of everyone around them. They like a cool room when they sleep, so if your partner is an Aquarius, be prepared to wear many layers to bed in the winter; they'll probably still want a window open even when it's freezing.
If it's during the summer and it's hot outside, they may still need a sweater if they're going to the movies or a restaurant.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
You can call Pisces quirky or you can just say they have an artistic personality. Pisces see things differently from other people. What you see as junk on the beach, they see as material for an art installation.
Another of Pisces quirks is what appears to be a talent for reading minds. It's spooky how out of the blue they will tell you something about yourself that you never told them. Pisces are super intuitive and can pick up a lot about a person just from how they present themselves or the things they don't say.
