getty Do people underestimate you? Do you tend to underestimate yourself? When we're undervalued, it can make us feel everything from exasperated to inspired. And being one of the underestimated zodiac signs, they know all too well how it feels.
Sometimes being underestimated can work to your advantage because you can surprise your doubters with your capability, ability, and talent. But there are times when we’re so undervalued that it can affect our judgment, work ethic, and self-esteem. Thankfully, astrology can help us determine if this fits our personality.
It’s hard to have confidence in yourself when you don’t feel as if you have a support system or people who believe in your ability to perform. No one likes to be treated or thought of as less capable than they are, and it can lead to self-defeating behavior.
Being undervalued doesn't feel good, but sometimes it’s the kick we need to get energized and focused. We can work that to our own advantage. If someone doesn't think you're a contender, they won't have their guard up for when you make your move. If you’re undervalued, you need to embrace it and make it your own secret weapon. Let people go under the mistaken idea that you can’t complete the task and then blow them out of the water.
1. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos tend to put other people's needs above their own. If a Virgo is running a show, it's almost more important to them that the other performers do well than they themselves. People may interpret the Virgo's natural self-deprecation as a lack of self-confidence, but that's not it at all.
Virgos are quietly confident; they know how smart they are and that they have a huge amount of talents, skills, and abilities. When they're underestimated, it just gives them the opportunity to blow everyone away with how amazing they are and how they're able to solve even the most complex problems.
2. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
People tend to overlook Capricorns because they are so conscientious. Capricorns do what they say they'll do, they do it well, and they tend to do it under the radar. Just because they are hard-working and practical, it doesn't mean they can't shine.
They like shocking people with their unexpected greatness, and it makes the victory of their success even sweeter. Capricorns may not be the flashiest people, but that doesn't mean they can't deliver like a boss. They know their value even if when there are doubters.
3. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Everyone knows that Taurus are strong, but sometimes their other incredible qualities go unnoticed. But never underestimate what a Taurus can do when they put their mind to achieving something. They will work day and night if they have to, and they will call on all their resources.
They're tenacious and they don't quit, so while other people may give up hope, they will keep going until they've not only got the job done, but it's done in a spectacular way. That's another thing about Taurus — they've got flair and style and seem to elevate everything they touch.
4. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
People tend to think that Cancers are too emotional to get the job done, but they use their emotion and the power of their love to get things done. They are extremely capable and creative and will surprise those who think they aren't up for a task or challenge.
When they're underestimated, Cancers take it personally and use it to propel them further, and make them more focused and driven. If Cancers need to educate others on their expertise and skills, they will. In the meantime, step aside and let them do their thing.
5. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces might be highly imaginative and sensitive, but that doesn't mean they're not going to get the job done, nor does it mean they're not going to do whatever they've been tasked to do in a fantastic way. If a Pisces commits to something, they won't flake or give excuses; they'll do it and probably something extra.
People underestimate and undervalue Pisces all the time, but they don't let it get to them; they just surprise those who didn't think they could do it... by doing it remarkably well.
