Does Angelina Jolie Weigh 76lbs? Details Revealed About How The Brad Pitt Custody Battle Is Affecting Her Weight
She's reportedly "on the verge of collapse."
The stress of her custody battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt is reportedly too much for Angelina Jolie to handle.
According to a new report by Star magazine, the 43-year-old actress has dropped down to 76lbs during her fight to keep custody of her kids Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Knox, Vivienne, and Shiloh.
“Angie has stopped eating almost entirely and has now shriveled down to 76 pounds,” a source told the magazine.
“Angie’s an emotional and physical wreck — and she’s on the verge of collapse! She’s practically living on ice cubes, and she’s so anorexic her skin is sagging and her bones are almost breaking. She needs help, and fast.”
While there is no evidence to back this claim, Jolie's weight has been a concern before. Back in 2014, her caregiver, Cis Rundle, told RadarOnline that as a child, Jolie suffered from anorexia and self-harm.
"She just liked that little bit of pain. She liked that edge," Rundle said. "I carried her into the hospital. She was in that anorexic stage. It was one of her stages. She didn’t stay, it got worked out."
In 2016, she also reportedly dropped down to 79-pounds when she and Pitt first started having problems. And earlier this month, a source told In Touch magazine that she was down to 100 pounds.
“Her family, her team, they’re all worried. It’s clear her health is deteriorating,” said the insider. “Those on the U.K. set of Maleficent 2 have been shocked by her frail appearance. Costumes hide a lot, but when she’s wearing her own clothes, it’s very disturbing.”
Jolie has not responded to the rumors about her weight. In fact, the only times she's spoken publicly about her health was when she addressed her double mastectomy in 2013, her hysterectomy in 2015 and Bell's palsy diagnosis last year.
Bell's palsy is a form of facial paralysis that can cause temporary twitching, weakness or drooping in one or both sides of the face. Jolie credits acupuncture with her help in making a full recovery to the condition that's often brought on by trauma or stress.
Sometimes women in families put themselves last... until it manifests itself in their own health," Jolie said in her interview with Vanity Fair about her divorce. "“I do not want my children to be worried about me. I think it’s very important to cry in the shower and not in front of them."
"They need to know that everything’s going to be all right even when you’re not sure it is.”
